A Message from Gordon Brown

A good video from the Tories - simple and effective.

Thanks to Ollie.

Hmmmm. I saw this last night Sb and at first wasn't convinced that these were in fact the new Saatchi ads. On discovering they are however my views are mixed.

I think the concept's good, but not sure about some of the messages and how they'll resonate with 'ordinary' people.

I think they need to be a bit more hard-hitting, using language such as 'taxes' 'stealth taxes' 'lies' etc . . .

What do you reckon?

I thought it was simple and effective TT although I wouldn't like all campaigning to be in this style. A variety of subtlety and full verbal hard-hitting language would perhaps be most effective.

The laughter in this is just perfect don't you think?

Hope the SNP do something along these lines - at least once. It's a cheap production too. :)

Rosie, at least it's different. There is too much emphasise on what the Tories will do and not enough on what Labour has done. Christ even the Libthingies could do better.

I thought it a good strategy too DL. Like you I feel the tories have been playing 'nice' too long.

It'll certainly be a very dirty campaign both south and north.

Gordon with his peculiar view of life will probably see this as a compliment!

Strangely enough Apogee, that's a long the lines of something that was said here earlier. "He'll think that's a braw photae o' himsel'".
