SMART THINKING from the TORIES

After PMQs today William Hague did this video analysis of his part then it was put up on YouTube to maximise the message.  Good idea and should be adopted by others.

Great idea indeed. Somebody should do it for FMQs. Wee Eck would struggle more often than not. Asise from his oratorical skills, the 48 nodding dogs behind him , and the inherant advantage any FM has in having the last word, he is is increasingly being intellectually turned over by Ian Gray on a semi -regualr basis. Annabel fives him a run for his money. Only against the hapless and hopeless Tavish does he look like a FM in contol, but then so too would First Minster Cathie Cragie.

I must stary vlogging again - shave my head, perfect a Yorksire accent and pretend to ne William Haugue - but I couln't afford his suits.

Or John Swinney could deputise at FMQ - he has integrity, tells it as it is, even when it makes unfomfartable listening. A long term strategy for good government I reckon.

The road to independence indeed

Not a good morning for you this morning AWC?

This would be good for every party to do their own interpretation of FMQs not just the SNP.

Much depends on how well they market it really and the SNP has to up their game with regard to the internet.

Conservatives merge with The DUP. Now how about a Conservative-SNP .................
I speak as a UK lover, you realise!

Doesn't he realise the snp has many conservatives amongst them..there called Scottish Conservatives...they want to conserve things scottishly and not englishly

subrosa said...

Auch Oldrightie I quite understand but obviously I don't agree. The SNP is composed of many political persuasions but the main one is of course independence. Plenty tories do vote for the SNP here.

Oh niko, bit nationalist that for you, no? lol True, the Scottish tories realise the Scots attitude is difference and that does help them, but not a lot. This morning I listened to Radio Scotland and people slating Margaret Thatcher. Unfortunately Edwina Currie was on first and slated Scotland so perhaps some of the calls were just in anger at her. Silly woman calling the Scots greedy. Considering Scotland gives far more per head to charity than any other UK country, she should have thought again.

Being a 'conservative' Doesn't always equate with being an English conservative.........some would like the Scottish conservative tradition to be dominant. And some in wales would feel the same with a Welsh conservative Nation.

I was just pointing that fact out after all there are conservative beliefs (even muslims)in every nation in the world...Not based around Westminster.

And the truth is the Conservative party(Westminster branch) are free market torys and as such hold no true allegiance to any nation or peoples only to money.

More your free market liberals than true conservatives..

Aye we Can. I respect your opinion but what FMQ's are you watching? The Labour remake? Not once has Gray managed to land a punch on Salmond, Remember I am an ex Labour voter myself and I know what the party contains. I also am aware of a lot of the current instruction sheets and infiltration lists.

TBH I think your saying your a nat, then trying to drive a wedge. Had respect for you but the last few posts have been a bit snide. Dont have a problem with you questioning but I am noticing a pattern here in your posts.

Now remember and dont run to Am2 and say we all hate you or are a party state. we dont just wondering wit your about. REALLY.

I aint an SNP member but I intend to vote and campaign on their behalf, your being a bit disingenuos.

Faux CU horrible!

Here's another video about Gordon's visit to American from CNN News.

I hope someone at SNP HQ is taking note of this idea using video to reach people. I see the tories have set up another asking Gordon to say sorry. They've got the hang of this internet now, at least they're far and away the most prolific.

Time for Scottish politics to get noticed!

Niko, I'm well aware many Scottish conservatives are quite annoyed and embarrassed with their masters in Westminster.

Don't you worry, when we're independent there will still be conservatives and I'm sure they will prove a far greater asset to Scotland then than they do now.

Hi Subrosa,

Apologies for going off topic, but I wanted to reply to the comment you put on my blog.

I just had a look, you are at 253 on the Wikio Politics Listings and 1866 overall (includes Sports, Technology, Gastronomy & Politics listings combined).

You just need to filter to look atthe Politics blogs only (on left of the page)

Regards,
Daniel

Thank you Daniel, I'm not too concerned about listings but it is good to know where you are in Scottish politics. Somehow I think the RSS feed I gave wasn't correct but hey ho, what does it matter.

I was thinking 1866 was a bit much for even a UK politic blog!!
