I was tempted to call this post 'Where There's A Will There's A Way' because that's what the video proves. Is it the cynic in me that thinks that there is much less 'will' around these days?
We've become a nation full of negativity Jim. The oomph has gone.
Indeed it does and it would have taken some considerable patience to build it. (I was a cellist in another life and tried something similar at a music camp. My offering was pathetic in comparison).

Creative ingenuity. Wonderful.
Isn't it Joe.
I think you are right, 'will' has been replaced by the official 'will not' in so many ways.
Could a non-parent set up a casual football game for kids? No?
Could Scouts build their own hut? No?
Can left-over building materials be used for a new job? No. (No certificate of conformity).
Can the 'community' pick over 'waste' and give it a new use? No and it will have an EU landfill tax levied on it too.
Re-use a jam jar? No.
Put tea leaves on your garden? Legally, no. (Thank you EU).
Oh, and doesn't the cello sound nice?
Gives you hope for humanity.
Perhaps the one constant failure throughout the history of humankind is in its governance.
