R.I.P Eric Skyes

Perhaps the last of a generation of truly funny men died yesterday.

R.I.P Eric Sykes. Thank you for hours of laughter.

Agreed, he gave us a lot of fun and was certainly one of the greats.

He was a skilled master of simple, clear, clean humour.

Targeted at the audience when the whole family gathered round the only telly in the house.

Quite possibly the last of the greats Demetrius but he certainly cheered me up on many occasions.

Well said Joe.

He was a master of his craft. No smut, no unpleasantness, no political messages just outstandingly funny.
He has provided me with a lot of laughs over the years.

Random Eric Sykes joke:

"A white horse walks into a pub. He asks for a pint of bitter and the barman says: ‘Did you know they’ve named a whisky after you?’ And the white horse says: ‘What?! Alex?!’

The deft, economical and crisp work of a master craftsman. His legacy is laughter.

When did it all change Woodsy?
