Vision, skill, money, world-wide adulation, the creation of the closest commercial enterprise to a religion - can't buy health.

A sad loss for the world though.

Indeed Joe.

I never bought into the Apple computer thing. Their computers seemed to do roughly the same as bog standard ones but were twice the price. It looked like pointless consumerism for the smug elite.
And the offshoring of 400,000 jobs to China meant that most of his £8Bn fortune wasn't invested in his home country. He didn't seem troubled by the dozens of suicides at his Chinese factory where safety nets were fitted to catch jumping factory workers.
But he was a clever and resourceful guy and may he rest in peace.

I would have to disagree with you there RM. apple computers were so much easier to use nag the graphics were far superior. Also their first computers did things that were ten years ahead of Bill Gates.

I couldn't afford an Apple computer when they first came out so I'll have to accept what you say about them SR.
I remember Microsoft bailing them out when they nearly went bust in the 90's.

They were expensive RM but I was fortunate enough to be able to use one belonging to a graphic designer. Also my employer was so taken with them he ensured I had one to use. For a few years though I had to revert to a PC because I couldn't afford an Apple. I was lucky enough to get one again a few years ago and I really do miss the 21" screen and graphics when I'm forced to use a PC.
