The Blind Leading The Blind

This post originates for Apogee but with a few tweeks, or should I say editorial amendments, from me.

More doom and gloom from Europe.

And so the story rolls on, episode after episode like a bad TV soap opera while the fools here think they know what they are doing.  They wish!

They still have not the slightest clue. Just like little kids playing on the beach, up to their necks in water when the next wave could drown them.  What is needed is a grip on reality. Have a look at this. The whole of Europe has been played for suckers and we still do not know who is really pulling the strings.

Every time the UK government is asked for more money they have obliged with no questions, superficial protests and any protective content of any treaties they have signed has been ignored.

Their behaviour reminds me of a Goon Show programme back in the 50s.

Europe: Now just hold out your wallet and say "help yourself"

Britain: (holding out wallet) "Help yourself"

Europe: "Thank you mein Herr"

Britain: "When do we get it back?"

Europe: "Back? No, no, no, you don't get it back. You understand - you just gave it to us remember?

Britain: "Oh that's right, so we did!"

Europe: "NOW you understand!"

And if we hand over yet more cash as Sarkozy and Merkel are proposing/insisting – then the bottom line might be as dear old Bluebottle might say …
"You dirty rotten swines, you! You’ve deaded me."

Poor old Neddy was always getting ripped off/robbed. Sounds familiar, its still happening today to the UK.

I was never a fan of the Goons but had to tolerate it because my brother thought them wonderful. So I can relate to this well.

It's very serious how Merkel and Sarkozy are now in charge of the UK treasury.

Hi SR. It was a great show, very rarely missed it.

How much do you think Merkel and Sarkozy have control of their own treasury. As for ours, remember, Gordons gophers said they had spent it all. I wouldn't have minded that so much, but the fools maxed out the credit cards as well, now that was stupid.

I think Merkel's coat is on a shoogly nail Apogee but Sarkozy is safer as he just does his own thing.

Hi SR, Merkel is looking at an election in a year or so, and the enforcers are having problems keeping the foot soldiers and the rabble at large singing from the same hymn sheet.
Sarkosy could have trouble very quickly from the banks who may have bought too much Greek junk jewellery on their last few holidays!
