Ireland's Future

The stark realism of this article is massively impressive and horrific.

If Parliament allows Britain to throw a penny more (which we don't have and will have less as Mr Cameron lets the deficit mount) into supporting the euro, it has abdicated.
We might as well send for an EU governor and open the place as a heritage centre.

Er... no we don't have a penny more.

As it is the UK already is on the precipace of another recession. Everyone can see it... except the Coalition who insist that everything is fine while hoovering up any liquidity that is left in the econnomy to plug the deficit (bad mistake) and turning the UK into some sort of tax haven (really bad mistake). Osborne & Flashman really don't know what they are doing.

Let Ireland stand as a lesson for Scotland. A proud independent republic reduced to penury and forever bound to be a serf to the EU overlord.

You're right Scunnert. The EU policy needs a thorough debate as it's dated now.
