The Nail In The Coffin For The Scottish Tories
Thanks to Sue who uncovered Cameron's pledge during the general election.
This just proves he's another lying politican and he has the audacity to insist
the subject of the winter fuel payment is, "very important to him".
I will be sending this video to all my friends who do, or may be tempted to, vote Conservative on 5 May. They will decide how important they are to the Prime Minister. The answer may not be to his liking.

SR, just make sure you bury the bastards deep! What with Cameron's luies in Parliament today, to misquote, there is not one word he or any of the Lib/Lab/Con could say to me now or in the future that I would believe!
I was furious about this when I heard, because I remember that the guy actually asked him to confirm, without doubt that he wouldn't just keep the idea of winter heating, he would keep the actual amounts, as they were under Labour.
He said he felt very strongly about it and he would keep whatever he inherited.
It is utterly amazing that there has been so little fuss made about this. I blogged on it the day that it was announced, but the papers made almost nothing of it.

Mr Duncan-Smith is to look at bus passes and the free tv licences that over 75s get.
While he's at it he might as well claw back the extra 25p that pensioners get when they turn 80... you know, just to help them cover the costs of getting that bit older and needed a bit more warmth. How overwhelmingly generous is that?
It is to Blair/Brown's credit that they did put the winter fuel allowance up from the £10 which was given to pensioners under mr Major.
I agree entirely WfW. They're all liars - not a word I like using but very appropriate in this case,
Yes Tris, I read it at your place. The video just emphasises the drivel we're told.
Subrosa.
I just made a comment. It took me over half an hour to write it. When I used 'open ID' to publish comment, BLOGGER said that I was not signed in or whatever. The problem was that my comment was completely lost, gone, disappeared.
Have you any suggestions to avoid?
Essentially, my comment said that our system of government is falling apart in this complex world. We should be electing Ministers, in order to remove the despots who are ruling behind the scenes. Ministers should not be MPs.
Morning Junican. Auch I'm so sorry about your comment disappearing with Blogger.
I've been tempted to change to another comment system but most seem to need your name and email every time. Will email some of these 'expert bloggers' and see what they say, although many use Wordpress I notice and therefore will say 'tough' I suppose. :)
You could save your comment before publishing it on the likes of Evernote. I do that with my replies on Yahoo mail because it loses things often so I understand how frustrating it can be,
Sorry Junican I didn't respond to your point which is an excellent one.
If you do a post about that let me know and I'll put it in a Take Your Pick.
I just wish that there was a political party to represent pensioners. Unfortunately, as far as I am concerned, the only pensioner's group involved in politics is too closely tied to the TUC and the Labour ideology.
We are, after all the biggest group of electors with common interests, and in practice we don't really ask for a lot. Most of us having worked all our lives, and would just like a sensible state pension, without having to beg for extras and a comfortable (but not luxurious) retirement. Far less, in fact, than many people seem to believe are their "rights" to be provided free of charge by the state.
Surprised?
Just how many examples do we need and hardships and their injustice to endure before we fight back?
Government! we have none; just a bunch of sycophantic conning fraudsters emptying our pockets to the benefit of theirs and their financial masters.
I'd agree EP and not only are they too affiliated to Labour but they're unionists. :)
We should start one of our own.
Crinkly, as always bang on the nail. I don't know what it will take to fight back. Somehow I feel the whole country will be destitute before people waken up. Then they'll complaint they can't get what they 'deserve'.
