Aye I suppose I do qualify WfW. In fact it was only the other week that I realised I know far more about England, its history and geography, than I do about Scotland. This winter's project is to amend that. :)
Yes, it certainly seems to be heading that way. Just a thought, until the new carriers get aircraft, could they be fitted out as cheap cruise ships, could recover a few pennies that way. Already even fitted out for clay pigeon shooting?
I think they could make superb landing areas for those folk who do sky diving for charities Apogee. I mean, to dive out of a plane over the sea then see this massive ship waiting for your arrival. Surely there couldn't be anything more dramatic.

Excellent piece! It really does get into the whole charade.
Thanks Rosie!
I notice that was recorded before the recent "Spending Review".
Since the Spending Review, the message the message has been changed to:
"This is a recording, there's no one left. This is a recording, there's no one left. This is a recording, there's no one left."
The navy's new recorded message is;
"For all enquiries, please contact Marine Nationale on Paris 1234-56789"
You have a wicked sense of humour, SR! As with all such humour, it is !to the point'!
Well done you Sassenachess! (for which you qualify due to your work experience in England - see your previous comment)

Aye Joe, France right enough. You may be far nearer the mark than you think. :)

That's it CH. No money left for more.
I find these spoofs too chillingly realistic to find them funny.
I think, with this one WW, it was purposely made to convey that.

Of course if you missed the landing...
If you missed the boat, as it were, well....you'd be a fast learner at the swimming.
