Afghanistan

A Marine from 40 Commando Royal Marines, serving as part of Combined Force Sangin, Helmand, was killed yesterday in Afghanistan.

He was part of a foot patrol in an operation which was being conducted in support of the Afghan National Army when he was struck by an explosion.

285 of our military have now been killed in Afghanistan.

Our politicians will issue the usual platitudes yet continue the actions of the previous government no doubt, although David Cameron has stated he will immediately form a War Cabinet.

Will the incoming government now refuse to have our military used as cannon fodder on the front line? Many countries have only provided troops with this condition attached.

Another family now suffers the pain of losing a loved one. What a tragedy when their is no solution to the problem. The solution lies with the Afghan people, not with us.

Whilst in Britain, postal votes are fiddled, 100s if not THOUSANDS of people are not allowed to vote, the looser thinks he can form a Government, he refuses to leave power, and the Brits are in Afghanistan to "ensure free and fair elections, and to protect democcracy".

Hmmm..

Could trhis be the REASON Labour sent the troopps to some Godsforsaken country, instead of letting them wnder around Manchester, Liverpool , London, Edinburgh, etc?

Believe me Furor, you're not the first person to ask that question.
