Alex Salmond Talks With Andrew Marr This Morning

My sincere thanks to Moridura for making this available so quickly. I missed it and notice that the BBC iPlayer will not be publishing it until later this evening.

Fair comment by Salmond SR, but why just SNP and Plaid?

Surely any party who is standing should also be taking part? As I posted this is hypocritical of all the three main parties and, unfortunately, the SNP and Plaid, in their argument.

Yet another 'Pandora's Box' that the politcal elite have opened without thinking it through!

Agreed?

As I said, he is so competent and answers with clarity, they can barely lay a glove on him. He made Andy Marr look wooden. I'm sair looking fwd to the court case, will donate more just to see the EBC get it's pubic humiliation!

Agreed WFW? Erm ... no, or kinda no. I think in a UK Leaders Debate the leaders of the devolved nations should be present.

Then again, I have no problem with all parties being involved in debates. What form it would be could be complicated. I mean, in some parts of England, there are over 12 parties standing.

But I'm all for fair play as you know.

Oh I do hope they raise the money CD. If they don't they can keep ma few bob for the election next year.

I don't want them spending it on this superficial London-based panto.

my money is in already. Good luck SNP. Hope we get a good judge.

Ah but SR,

They are not there as leaders, they are there representing their parties, parties that are fielding candidates in the general election. Consequently any party fielding candidates should be represented. How else will the electorate be able to make an informed decision?

Agreed

And a fair judge Strathturret. I'm sure they must be doing well.

As Nicola Sturgeon said to Gary Robertson this after noon. The SNP is the mainstream party in Scotland and the Scottish Government put there by a fair chunk of the Scottish people. To disenfranchise them and try and corral them with the BNP is just offensive. Nicola gave wee Gary a good flea in his ear for that piece of subliminal propaganda, so typical of the joke that BBC Scotland has become. Kenneth McQarrie should hang his head in shame.

However I do believe that the unionist controlled MSM have scored a spectacular own goal, and will rue the day they tried to make Scots irrelevant.

The fund for the court case is well on target to achieve the £50,000 required, well done SNP and Nicola keep on getting up their noose.

My £20 is sent.

Well WFW, you know how the media have got round that one. 'Leaders' being the operative word. But Alex Salmond is the leader of a party and one which governs a nation.

What worries me about the whole TV debating thing WFW, is that smaller parties won't get a look in - of course that includes the SNP which, in Scottish terms is the largest, but in terms of the rest of the UK doesn't exist.

I don't mind a 'Leaders Debate' if all leaders are respresented.

Am I blethering? Trying not to.

According to the Times earlier they've already got £19,000 Dram and have until Tuesday to raise the rest.

Great stuff.
