During the rabble called PMQs yesterday, Angus Robertson the SNP MP, asked a question about Stephen Purcell.
"...Will he confirm that a Downing Street staffer took part in a conference call in 2008 which discussed the suitability of Stephen Purcell?"
Watch the video and see how the BBC commentator over-talks the PM's response which was exceptionally brief but inaudible.
The Speaker allowed this juvenile behaviour yet when the PM was talking he enjoyed the sound of his own voice shouting, "Order, order."
Once again reaffirmation that Westminster cares not a jot for Scotland.
Oh, MekQuarrie and myself think it was the libdems doing the 'Sean Connery' heckling. What's your opinion?
Update 10.30am: Hansard have now published PMQs. Gordon Brown's answer was: "I know nothing of what the hon. Gentleman says, but I shall look into it."
Updates from Calling England:
Quentin Letts writes that the shouts of 'Sean Connery' "came from around the House".

Also reaffirmation that Bercow was the wrong choice for Speaker...
From that clip (DP?) it looks as though it was the LibDems after all - shame on them. I watched Live Parliament, not the DP so saw a slightly different angle. No matter, whoever it was it was disgraceful behaviour and they should have been censured by Bercow. To show contempt for a fellow MP and for the House in that way is unforgiveable. If I can discover any names I'll let you know, SR.
Isn't he just Julia. A man who is so enamoured with the sound of his own voice and his power.
I'd appreciate that GV. I notice two libdems having a conversation in front of him but don't know the names.
It's Westminster showing its irrelevance.
I doubt if Browns reply had any relevance either, but it should be recorded in Hansard.
Yes it will be RA,but it hadn't been published early this morning. Will have another look.
This a a fearsome subject for Snooty and his crew. I thought I heard wrongly the question was even asked. On my car radio I heard no reply from that piece of work Brown. Just do not forget that this disdain is not only reserved for Scotland but for all of us. Even Niko and his deluded compatriots, for whom mushroom treatment by their own very wealthy "leaders ", is just dandy. meanwhile sink estates sink ever lower.
Have emailed you SR
With the apparent disintegration of the Scottish Liberal vote, the mire of Scottish Labour doo-doo the virtual irrelevance of the Scottish Conservative vote - the infantile (sorry that's an insult to infants) yah-boo behaviour of unionist MPs - why are we surprised at the reaction to an intelligent and appropriate question from the SNP?
I think Mr Robertson would have been more shaken, not stirred if he had actually received a competent answer! This bovine (sorry - another insult to the innocent)behaviour serves once again to distinguish how irrelevant Westminster is to Scotland and not the other way round, indeed far from it!
No doubt, right now, GCC et al are beavering away at compiling 'the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth' non-dodgy and asexual dossier on the last 70 years of Labour Glasgow governance. All will be transparent - won't it, as Mr Robertson has politely requested?
Looking at it another way - why would the BBC commentator want to make the question inaudible?
Aye Clarinda, they'll be compiling a dossier right enough. It'll be hard work to ensure the 'facts' all correspond. I'm sure there have been a few overheated shredders in the west in the past couple of weeks.
I don't say he did it purposely Mrs R, but it wasn't good commentating to speak over anyone.
My main point was the behaviour of the Speaker. He should definitely have intervened but did not. He was fast enough to do so earlier on in the session don't you think.
Yes thanks GV, I've just received it.
SR,
They will regret that in time, can't wait for the GE where many of these idiots can return to their villages.
CD
Morning CD, gawd help the villagers.
Sunny here.
