Liar and Hypocrite

If anyone is interested in the behaviour of Iris Robinson, politician and wife of the Northern Irish First Minister, here is a summary of the programme shown on BBC this week. It's not yet on BBC iPlayer.

This woman has not only abused her position as a politician, she appears to have abused her position as a friend.

Thanks to Stephen's Linlithgow Journal for the video.

Oh my God! I can't believe it! No wonder this hideous woman wanted to end it all. She's an absolute disgrace. It always fascinates me how people can have such hate inside then re: her hatred of homosexuality. Great find Sb!

Hi Subrosa:

I noticed how the Hootsmon headlined (First Minister's Wife..." scandal failing to insert the word "Irish". I wonder why ......No, I don't really.
Keep warm, Robert

The dirty, dirty, dirty Irish whore and Jessabel! BTW is that Iain Gray's brother doing the interviewing?

subrosa said...

It was Stephen who found it TT but it was interesting. Until now I wasn't interested in who or even what she got her kicks from but then of course money comes into the picture.

I haven't seen Conan's latest masterpiece Robert. Will have a look shortly. Been trying to keep my car running every day because it's diesel. Was a hard start this afternoon.

I wonder how much her husband was part of it all?

Do I detect a little jealousy DL? lol

I don't think it was. He doesn't look as if he has a brother who did his learning in the bosom of Oxfam imo.

The post on Iris Robinson came with a You Might Also Like link to the 25 November post on Brigitte Bardot. I think the photo was taken at the Pampelonne Beach by St. Tropez referred to in my post of Wednesday 6 May 2009, although the context was different. The related link was as good as some of the more way out Google ones on web searches.

After you comments about the Hootsman I'm glad I remember to put in NI before First Minister in my blog post last night. ;)

It was Robert who pointed that out Stephen. Of course Conan's work is satire. ;)

Jings Demetrius, how many wee folk are sitting at the desks in the offices of Link Within and showing a Brigette Bardot related link? They must all be male that's all I can say.

As female, give me BB any day.

The magic of the internet - wonderful isn't it really.

Ach the poor wifie just wanted a wee bit of slap and tickle. If she was a man it would be fine.

As to her views on Sexuality then as a religious person she will be comfortable with that, at least she is not advocating stoning them to death.

On the business side of things, she got caught that is all, she was doing what is seen as normal practise day in day out in this country. If we could see into Blairs or Mandelsons accounts now that would be news.

She was setting herself up for a fall. We just love bringing people down who seem to have it all. Good luck to them all and I hope they can find some peace in 2010.

Rosie when you fill your car up, stick in a gallon of petrol it will stop your deisel freezing, Google it.

BTW Subrosa it is now available via iPlayer in full

You're right KBW, it would have been a half hour wonderful if she was male.

Is it safe to put petrol in a diesel car? Thought that knackered it .

subrosa said...

Thanks Stephen. I'm sure others will watch it.

Rosie if you were to fill your tank with petrol that would be dodgy and wreck your engine. But putting a gallon of petrol in when you fill the rest of the tank with diesel raises the point at which your diesel fuel waxes and goes gooey, which is the problem with some vehicles in cold weather.

Lorry drivers and farmers used to do this. Most diesel has an antifreeze additive in it now and modern vehicles have insulated or heated fuel systems.

The problem usually arises in the fuel filter which may have moisture in it if it has not been changed for a while. Some filters have a wee drain tap on the bottom, like my Landie to drain out excess water.

You have probably seen some lorry and van drivers lighting wee fires under their diesel tanks to warm the fuel. Not reccomended ;o(( Although the application of a hair dryer or a wee fan heater can get you going if you are near a power supply.

It looks like we are in for a long spell of cold, my war wounds are aching.

KBW, aye I have seen lorry driver light fires under the tanks - in fact I had a neighbour who used to do that to his car. :(

Interesting about adding a splash of petrol though, I'll try that if I'm stuck. Knocks hell out of the battery starting when it's so cold.

Not too bad here KBW, above freezing but had about 1" snow this morning which isn't moving. Lethal underfoot now because you can't see the ice.

Still I'll go up town and have a run round. The main roads will be fine I'm sure.

I've been missing my usual hobbies since this began and I realise I've put on a few pounds staying in much more than usual and doing little exercise so I hope we don't have this for much longer.

Just had a look. Says 2C today.

All, for the sake of clarity: the Robinsons' won't thank you (nor will the Irish nation) for describing them as "Irish" - they are "Northern Irish" and consider themselves British Subjects so - less of the calling "Mr Robinson Irish First Minister" and "Mrs Robinson an Irish Whore etc". That last comment is offensive on many levels and only a man would say it. The spotlight documentary was interesting and well done. I find the descent of commentary here to personal, sexualised attacks disturbing. You are doing just what she did when she attacked homosexuals. The woman was/is unhinged and should be left to history and her doctors now. Thank you, An Irish Woman.

subrosa said...

Thank you for your comment Nicola. I shall change that to Northern Irish immediately. Pity the British press weren't so accommodating.

I have called Mrs Robinson none of the names you say but, after watching the programme, I stick by my title.

I'll not hang around too long for you to apologise for saying I called the woman an Irish whore.

I put petrol in my VW diesel 18 months ago by mistake. I drained in out to 25% of tank, topped up with diesel and its gone fine since.

So I guess putting in 10% petrol would be ok. The old trick (illegal I think) was to add a little paraffin into your diesel.

subrosa said...

Thanks for that Strathturret, I'll remember that. I've managed to start every day but I think it was Thursday it was hard work.

Subrosa, Nicola here again - my comment about the use of "Irish whore etc" was directed at "Dark Lochnager" - text attached above FYI - perhaps you missed it with all the talk about petrol and diesel. These comments are being made about a person, a woman who needs help.. it's low.

subrosa said...

Nicola, DL's comment was tongue in cheek, or at least I took it that way and others, who know him, would have done so too.

If it had been a 59 year old male having an affair with a 19 year old woman do you think there would have been the same fuss? Many of us here think not.

Personally I don't think she needs help, but I do think she shouldn't be in public office. Not because of her affair but because of her 'brown envelope' dealings. Mind you she's not the first or last MP to be involved in such dealings, that behaviour has been going on here in Scotland for generations.

I know you're doing your best to protect Mrs Robinson and I respect that. From what I can gather from Scottish bloggers the issue of her affair is her own business, the issue of the money is for the Northern Irish to judge.
