Google and China

Google have taken the unusual step of publicising information about a highly sophisticated and targeted attack on their corporate infrastructure originating from China.

They state it resulted in the theft of intellectual property from Google.

However, it soon became clear that what at first appeared to be solely a security incident -albeit a significant one - was something quite different.

Read the story on Google's blog.

Thank you Robert. Blogging is certainly one way of venting frustration at the system of government we now have.

Personally think the internet is greatest tool to advance mankind since .... universal education. There are no secrets now. You can get information on everything just about. It greatly empowers the common man.

Could Campbell and Blair get away with their dodgy dossier in 2010 like they did in 2002? I doubt it.

So I think the Chinese are trying to push water up hill. Eventually they will lose control.

Eventually yes Strathturret but it'll be a few years yet I think. They have tight control over their people and want to keep it that way.
