New Zealand Politics

Such a shame the Scottish Parliament doesn't have such amiable relations among the various parties.

Indeed, but you have to be relaxed and grown up and run your own show. Not be subject to carping whines about being too wee, too poor etc., to manage your own affairs

Can you imagine that happening in Holyrood though Dram. There's so much hate and vitriol from the labour party they would spoil it.

Mind you I could see the tories, libdems, Patrick and Margo joining in some light-hearted banter.

It's "Foan" not foam! But thanks for the link - I see Iain Dale has borrowed it too.

So sorry Ted, I knew that of course. I typo. I will amend it right now.

No doubt they have their moments of tension and conflict, but NZ looks like an independent country at ease with itself to me.

homophobic, hideously white, middle class, male-dominated...

Male dominated indeed banned, but I didn't listen as deeply as you.

Never mind Rosie, I thought it was one of the best laughs I've had in ages.

I realise I can't please all of my readers all of the time DL - neither can you. :) But we keep trying.

SR,

Enjoyable, had me laughing heartily. On a serious note, I wonder who is sponsoring Grey - that would be the tax payer once more!

National Lampoons eat your heart out....

Hi SR
Good laugh. But then, New Zealand is an independent country and more relaxed. It doesn't have to spend its time listening to orders from London!
I think the political setup in Hollyrood , and the attitudes would be greatly modified in an Independent Scotland, once the 'old guard' had retired,or emigrated! As a country we could do without all the 'politically correct crap' we are currently saddled with by Nulabour.Learn to live and work together in a friendly manner.

I think you've hit the nail on the head there Apogee. Attitudes will change when we have independence.
