Gordon Brown has the temerity to accuse Adam Bolton of being a 'political propagandist' during an interview earlier. Rather a bad move don't you think, as Adam Bolton has always been non-biased in his reporting.
The accusation is around 5 minutes into the interview - after the lies about how well our soldiers in Afghanistan are treated.

I heard him say 'YOU SOUND LIKE A POLITICAL PROPAGANDIST' which is a wee bit different.
anyway Gordon should stick it to them they are Journalist or more properly 'scum'
If they want to change the world why dont they put themselves up for election?
And at the end of the day Adam Bolton and sky just want to pressure Gordon to commit to the debates................and why?.......so sky can make some money out of the advertising as far as sky is concerned screw democracy
I think if I am not much mistaken Adam Boulton was a guest at Gordon and Sarah's wedding???
He has attended many Tony Blair private functions also.
Despite the interview style I kinda had him down as a bit of a labour luvvie
Brown’s statement at 3.47 in to this clip is a straight forward lie and he knows it, which is why he is so rattled, and why he has to force that rictus smile, he knows that the vast amount of words that come out of his mouth are lies. No wonder he is on medication and throwing tantrums, compulsive lying creates mental instability. Here he is the self confessed son of the manse condemned forever for having to lie on a daily basis. His father, must be birling in his grave. Someone who is prepared to lie in the way he does and sacrifice another human’s life in doing so deserves to roast in the fires of hell for eternity. Blair, Brown, Browne, Hoon, Reid, Ingram, Ainsworth. Bare faced crooks and liars criminals of the lowest kind.
I have posted the extracts from Doug Beatties book as published in The Mail on Sunday on my blog. Here is just one snippet that proves what these liars are saying is just plain wrong.
“The patrol base in Marjah, 30 kilometres west of the Helmand capital Lashkar Gah, was located in a disused school. Home to 69 British and Afghan soldiers, it was vulnerable and had no power, not even a generator. Batteries were being delivered by vehicle every three or four days. It wouldn't need a genius among the Taliban to clock our routine and plan an ambush.
Back at camp we received bad news; it was announced we would be going back to the school - the next day, by road. I demanded a helicopter but was told none was available.
In 27 years of serving Queen and country, I never had better personal equipment than during my time in Helmand. But when it came to the big-ticket items - helicopters, vehicles, radios - there were real holes in our inventory.”
Forgot to include this extract.
"Take the TacSat. What we needed to get it to work properly was an omnidirectional aerial but we were not given this kit, which meant the operator had to fiddle with the antenna until he finally managed to establish comms. Not easy when you are under fire as we had just found out. And whatever anyone at the Ministry of Defence might say, as I write this there are not enough helicopters. To my mind this costs lives."
Now you're being pedantic Niko. Quite unusual for you I admit. :)
I thought he was a labour luvvie too LotF but didn't he get shuffled off to America for upsetting another labour minister? Around the time of Obama's election it was and he was left there for a few months.
You're the person in the 'know' about what happens in Fife. I doubt if you're mistaken. :)
I despair of that man Brown.
Also worthy of note, are his comments @ 2:24
“… but the purpose of our troops being in Afghanistan now is not simply to keep order, it is to train the Afghan army, and to train the Afghan police to do the job themselves …”
What happened to the war on global terrorism?
Is this what they call ‘mission creep’?
Are our military personnel dying, simply to maintain public order and to provide on the job training for Afghan troops?
Listen at 2.35 where GB announces that the UK decisions (for Afganistan) are based on President Obama's "strategy" - he pauses and as an apparent afterthought adds that the UK also has a "strategy"! A bit nit-picky perhaps but the pause indicates that he caught himself out.
"Afghanisation" has historic ethnic cleansing connotations relating to the Pashtun drive for tribal supremacy. Perhaps a better word might be - Independent?
Helping a small nation towards Independence isn't one of Mr Brown's strengths - as GB's so keen on the terminology should the SNP start calling for Scotisation?
Utterly lamentable. Aye Clarinda I noticed that little slip.
It is mission creep JRB, it's the US's mission and we're doing the creeping for them.
I noticed that too Clarinda - I think that he was aware he'd cocked up and he then became very defensive.
Now there's a thing right enough! I wonder if any SNP heid bummers will consider your suggestion for Scotisation. Certainly I would like to think so.
It was very obvious scunnert - he was just that little bit too desperate to get Obama's name into the conversation.
If the Government really had supplied all the Armys requirements why did squaddies find it necessary to moonlight by redacting MPs expenses thefts to fund bulletproof jackets, gloves and boots for their personal protection ?
The accusation is 6:12 minutes into the interview.
As for the debate with his political opponents ( ie face to face with Cameron ) Brown seems to be saying that he has made his decision but is not going to say what it is until he feels like it, how patronising is that ?
Very much the headmaster attitude isn't it banned? Do as I say and not as I do type. Then we knew that didn't we?
I wonder why none of the savvy people at Labour headquarters haven't pointed out that the LAST thing you want to do is fall out with Rupert Murdoch and make enemies of his leading management and journalists.
Wrong it may be, but true it is.
So Mandleson's "chumps" and Harwoman's jibes about sexism (does she ever talk about anything else?) are mistakes of monumental dimensions.
They will so regret this.
I think Brown already regrets it don't you Tris?
