Ukraine's Got Talent

Appearing on Ukraine's Got Talent Kseniya Simonova, using sand animation, tells the story of Germany conquering Ukraine in the second world war. A couple on a bench become a woman's face; a peaceful walkway becomes conflagration; a weeping widow morphs into an obelisk for an unknown soldier.

Please stick with it, it's breathtaking. The words at the end are 'You are always near'. She won.

Does Glasgow council do evening classes in sand animation Jim? I'd love to give it a try.

It's on bloody Youtube again.

When are people going to understand there's a world outside of Youtube, there's Dailymotion.com, there's vimeo.com. And half the world outside the US and Europe can't get to see Youtube because it's banned.

Talk about a commercial and cultural hegemony.

Now look. Efes all over my keyboard.

John, is there any way I can convert it to daily motion or vimeo?

Awesome - she had the audience in the palm of her hand. Beautiful and talented girl. Very moving. Gonna post it on my facebook.

Scunnert, all my posts go on my Facebook, why not yours?

Subrosa - my facebook readers are mostly family and friends and they complain that I'm a gloomy bastard that posts only dark stuff. So, for them, I try to moderate my pessimism. However, on my blog it's mostly strangers who can complain all they want they're still gonna get all the dark gloomy shite.

scunnert, this video is a mix of dark and light. An unbelievable talent in a not so bright world.

I like your style of pessimism, it's right up my street. Of course it would be as it blends so well with my cynicism.
