I'm purposely posting this before the 'watershed' to show just how much influence the politically-correct have in this country.
A certain sausage manufacturer has been criticised for a sexually suggestive sausage advertisement. The ASA upheld complaints against the innendo-filled radio adverts for the smoked sausages. It said the adverts, which asked listeners where they would like to 'stick it', should not be aired when children are likely to be listening.
The ASA rejected 21 complaints that the advertisement were offensive. It agreed with the manufacturer that the adverts were meant to be tongue in cheek, light hearted and unlikely to cause offence, but said that although younger children were unlikely to understand, the innuendo was not appropriate for older children.
The 4 adverts, broadcast on Forth One, Clyde Radio and Real Radio must no longer be aired at times when children were likely to be listening.
Are the 21 complainers worried their own children may just tell them where they would like to 'stick it'?

Ha ha yes, I spotted this story too.
I know where I'd like to stick the proverbial sausage and I might even add a little left hand twist, just for a little extra spice you understand.
The Nanny State, dontcha just luv 'em ;-)
Sorry G.O.T I didn't see your post about it. If I had I would have put a link as you know.
The answer to your question about the nanny state is A Definite NO. :)
Do the ASA seriously think that sexual innuendo about sausages is new to any child of any age ?
Clearly none of its members ever went to Cub Camp, tossers.
Hahahaha..I know where my wife would like to stick it...I better run and hide lol...
This political correctness is so stupid that it borders on insanity...we need to be able to laugh and joke and take a joke....and give a joke...
What about Oysters....anyone care to comment?
Baron,
Oysters,
Cany swallow them.........just wrong
Morning Baron. Oysters. Had a bad one once and they've never appealed since.
I reckon the 21 who complained have developed an intellectual side-effect from eating too many "Richmonds Thick Recipe Sausages"?
Clarinda, I sometimes eat those! Well maybe a couple of times because I prefer my butcher's bangers. Can I say bangers?
