According to the IMF the recession is far worse than previous ones. Page 22 is given to the 'Potential Spillovers from the UK Financial System to the Rest of the World' - worrying data.
I shall leave any analysis to readers who enjoy numbers and statistics.

I wish this could be discounted as just a spot of Tory scaremongering from the Spectator, but alas it seems that the economic situation is very dire indeed. The blog to follow is this one (apologies if I've mentioned it before). Take the positive view - you'll probably die of swine flu before you have a chance to starve in the depression.
