AFCS - Comment

This was a comment from Key Bored Warrior on my earlier post about the AFCS. I respect his knowledge of such matters and consider it deserves a post to itself.

The compensation scheme ought to be designed by MPs as if it applied to them. Perhaps then we would see justice done. The Veterans http://www.veterans-uk.info/ should recruit Joahnna Lumley that would have them tripping over their feet to compensate properly.

The fact that an RAF typist gets £484,000 in compensation and associated legal costs after developing a Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI).

Yet Ben Parkinson the Paratrooper who lost both his legs and sustained grievous damage to his spine, skull, pelvis, hands, spleen and ribcage, leaving him in a coma for months, was awarded £152,150. He has the dubious record of the worst injuries we have yet seen in the conflict.

That in my humble opinion is just a national disgrace and proof if we needed it of the contempt that these bloody civil servants have for our warriors.

The fact is that many more warriors are now surviving battlefield injuries because of the tremendous care the field medics, MOs, nurses, and ordinary soldiers can now deploy, under fire. But then the fact they survive... leaves them facing a battle they should not have to face, against callous indifference and bloody minded discrimination, which if they were political refugees would see them getting the best of treatment.

I have written on many occassions to various ministers on this subject and just get bland teflonese replies. The arrogant Orange Bigot, Adam Ingram never even had the courtesy to reply. Too busy feathering his own nest.

Thanks Rosie. I have just listened to the utterly hapless Ainsworth being interviewed. He is just a clone of the hapless career clowns who went before him. Here's what paddy Ashdown said:

"Four defence secretaries in three years is an insult to our troops.

That one of them should have doubled up as Secretary of State for Scotland sent a bad signal; that the newly appointed Defence Secretary Bob Ainsworth is only 21st in the Cabinet ranking is unprecedented and deplorable."

It is completely nauseating to listen to these balloons and liars squirming and slithering out their weasel words as our troops are slaughtered by their callous incompetence.

There is not one shred of trust left, not just in politicians but in the political process. The only reason these young people sign up is because of the wreck this country has been made by Brown and his vile crew.

How come still c25% of the electorate will still vote for them?

Surely there cannot be that many MPs, councillors and weded thereon?

Can someone rationalise this for me?

GBBG, 18% voted for them in The EU elections, about the same small number in Norwich. Hope springs eternal.

Many of our armed service personnel and other services who fall ill due to asbestos poisoning will because of Crown Immunity receive no compensation for the appealing injuries.
Although Crown Immunity has been shelved it does not assist those who suffered a number of years ago!
