What a pathetic specimen of man is Mr Jim Devine, with all his bleating to the press - 'I'm devastated. I've been hung out to dry'. Dried out enough to make reasonable toast I hope.
It would appear Jim Devine is mulling over his options which would be whether to stay on at Westminster until the next general election and milk the taxpayers even more, or stand down and create a by-election in which he could stand as an Independent.
Go for it Jim. Stand down and let's have a by-election. You know you want to. I'll happily campaign against you and your fraudulent little accounting scams and crooked mates. Labour won't be there to enhance your postal vote either but please Jim, don't let that worry you. Just go for it!
I understand you weren't available for comment to the Herald last night, were you off negotiating a nice wee job with one of your pals? It'll have to have a decent salary though Jim and they'll be no public money to top up your bank account when the going gets rough. Just thought I'd remind you of that Jim.

He will not stand down, he will stay and garner the maximum shekels before he takes the deep 6.
Hanging is too good for him
It wouldn't surprise me if he stood as an Independent at the next election though Billy. He has enough nerve.
Steady on SR. It's only a picture. If you punch the screen again, he won't feeel it.
I can't see any personal advantage for Mr D forcing a by-election (who the heck would tell him he could win?). He's no Dennis Canavan, and if he's played the 'back me or I'll force a by-election' card with the review panel, they seem to have called his bluff.
But you can't account for personal vanity or even enmity. So all things are possible...
(To his only credit, he has not played on his Robin Cook credentials.)
Fred Goodwin breaking news story
Today's spoiler story from Pravda Central
They can's seem to get it through their cretinous skulls that wee can see through their smoke and mirrors.
Carry on regardless.
Can't see anything about Goodwin in google yet Billy. I'll keep my eyes open though.
Mek I've more respect for my Mac than to punch the screen. :)
He surely knows, that if he played on his Robin Cook connections that he'd be pushed right to the bottom of the dungheap of today's labour party.
Really, you'd think a grown man would know when the game's up wouldn't you.
Try SKY TV
He has offered to forgo 50% of his pension.
Probably this is just the extra 50% he received for retiring at 50 and not 60 which RBS (us) have had to fund.
So only £375K a year instead of £750 K
He will negotiate the return of the "returned" £375 when he makes 60 years of age.
Another "Brown" headliner
Stand down are not, I want to see this fat sleazeball face criminal action. Has anyone made a formal complaint to the police? It seems fairly clear that he was getting the taxpayer to foot his booze bill from the local hostelry.
Ah right ty Billy.
Vronsky I haven't heard of anyone making a formal complaint to the police. Mind you, as none has had any result so far, is it worth the effort? Of course that's the attitude the police want us to have I suspect.
The disgusting insinuation from Mr. Devine's bleatings is that he's been hung out to dry whilst others have been allowed to get away with effectively the same crime - ie fraudulent expenses claims.
Personally, I think he has a point and would like to see Blears, Darling, Hoon, Smith... up before the this so called star chamber to explain themselves...
Still I don't see Donald Findlay ever employing the line that his client should be found not guilty based on the fact that there are so many other lying, stealing b*stards getting away with what he did.
They're all pathetic specimens.
Jim said....
Not THE JIM? As for the rest, election now please.
jog along, now jim..your "work" here is done, you theiving little toerag.
He actually thinks people will feel sorry for him. Only sorry that they voted for him last time!
Jim, true the others were also frauds but Devine was far more blatant than most.
But SL some of his constituents do feel sorry so we're told. I can't understand why but he must be a great story teller. :)
Apart from the hair he looks a bit like John Reid in that photo. Maybe the money was for an operation.
You think so brownlie? I just think he's about to burst into tears because he's been outed.
I would just like to say I think Jim Devine is a complete and utter ██████ █████ █████ █████ ████ ██ █████ █████
Now, how did you do that Fitaloon? You technical folks never cease to amaze me.
It always goes back to something I was taught at the beginning.
"Son , Criminals are not your stereotypical thieves and idiots,
There in power too."
Very true In a Beautiful Place.
I live in one too and I'm determined it won't be made to look or feel like many places in the UK.
