100% on target

Does anyone have the wherewithall to find out how much money Unison has been given by the Government, our money, for various initiatives?

These initiatives are available to other TUs but let's just stick with Unison.

How much money has Unison given to The Labour Party?

Is there any corelation?

Could this be a way of recycling our money to fund the Labour Party?

Would a response to rhis from someone on this post be not to point out that it does not exist but that it is analagous to companies taking grants from Government, our money, and giving some of it back to the Conservatives.

The video is right Scunnert, two sides of the same coin with a mutual requirement not to land with one side dow; always spinning.

All together now

To the Sound of The Eton Boating Song.

Jolly troughing weather,
On a money harvest breeze,
Tenners in the pocket,
Directorships in the offing,
Swing swing together,
With our snouts in the trough,
Swing swing together,
With our snouts in the trough.

2.
Bruxelles may be very tempting,
The Lords may be seducing,
But we'll snout, snout for ever,
Steady from gob to gob,
And nothing in life shall sever,
The chain that is round us now,
And nothing in life shall sever,
The chain that is round us now.

3.
Others will fill our places,
Dressed in the red, white and blue,
We'll recollect our troughing,
We'll to the cause be true,
And youth will be still in our faces, (Mandelson)
When we cheer for a mendacious crew,
And you will be still in our faeces,
When we cheer for an Westmidden crew.

4.
Twenty years hence this weather,
May tempt us from Lardship's stools,
We may be slower on the dipping,
And seem to the boys old fools,
But we'll still trough together,
And swear by the best of you fools,
But we'll still trough together,
And swear by the best of you fools.

How do you fix this Subrosa? The UK political system is completely broken. Time for something new.

OK, I'll be first to ask: who are the redacted names?

I suspect one of those deleted swear words was Mandy.

Collusion? You'd better believe it.

...and when you think that most of New Labour's flagship policies over the years just happen to slot into the Tory way of doing things,

Then collusion is a foregone conclusion.

...and so it will be more of the same then. As in, the Westmidden whoever is dead. Long live the new Westmidden. Time decent folk did a flitting from that place with the reserved powers all tucked up and stashed away securely in their luggage for the journey north.

subrosa,

At every Labour party conference, and probably others, they have sponsors and speakers at fringe meetings, corporate events, advertising etc etc where big business can meet up with, and possibly influence, government ministers. From memory Nestle, BT, Energy companies etc etc are always prominent at conferences.

Add (significantly) to brownlie's list: Syngenta, manufacturers of GM goop, have actually sponsored Labour conferences. Other GM pushers are heavily involved - Lord Sainsbury, for starters.

Of course gentlemen (I'm assuring you're male Vronsky but I don't require proof).

Indeed there is the question 'Why do we have politicans?'

subrosa said...

Oops it should read ' isn't there the question' not of 'is the question'. Much too much nourishment this evening.

I wish Brownlie. Pointing a 160 year old wall and it's going to take months because I have to remove all the old stuff someone slapped on around 30-40 years ago. Therapeutic though I'm told.

Yes, ahem, that make-up is the very devil to get off!!
