It appears the labour party can't even run fair internal elections so what hope is there for the forthcoming external ones. The story on Labourhome shows the disarray within the labour party 'Labour Home has learned that the Erith and Thamesmead ballot box with the broken seal was in fact being stored in a cupboard in Labour's Victoria Street HQ at the time. Furthermore the ballot papers inside were torn up'. The comments are worth a read too.
Surely few of us are surprised that this has happened given the happenings within the labour party in the past but what do they expect if they try to promote a 22 year old. What 22 year old is experienced enough to be an MP? None, no matter whose daughter they are or how intelligent they have proved themselves to be.
Labour are now firmly stuck in quicksand and there's only one way they can go.

"Glug, glug, glug" while we all stand around cheering.
I've just said I never drink in the daytime Obo, but I'd make an exception if the downfall came before 6pm.
I think it's a fair sign that it's all over for Brown and his government when never a day passes without some serious scandal breaking.
It seems that the powers that be want Gould as their woman, but reckon that perhaps most of the members don't, for whatever reason (although I'm with you on this Subrosa. 22 is just too young, regardless of her parentage or intellect).
It seems though that this was more of a warning protest than anything else. No one has put 5000 ballot papers in the box suitable annotated for someone else, nor have they removed the existing ones.... They ripped them and left them there.... a warning perhaps....
After all this time and all that they have done to us it's quite agreeable to see them come to pieces.
Aye,
But we have a fair few cooncillors in Aberdonia from the SNP who are young and driven, I'd say they're at the right starting level and it brings young fowlk into the discussion.
Bit Goulds daughter and Bliars outlaws? It's gonna end in tears!
CD
It's most agreeable indeed Tris.
CD, as you know, I'm out of touch these days and I'm pleased to know there are young rising stars up your way. In fact I noticed at the televised bit of the SNP conference lots of young people. So refreshing.
Subrosa,
I'm on duty in London but I aye keep an ee on ma hame toon ye ken! I'm the ither side o 30 and wi hiv a fair amoont a talent in the SNP and Scotland of a' ages. Which is why I'm sair despirit tae get Independence.
I work wi a fair few Scots Army types, who some wid raithir be in the English Army than an SDF, but it is but a mere tokin of a few "Ruperts"!
The lads hae mair loyalty. We'll see tho in the lang run. Bonnie day here but I'd rather be on the ither side o the border but airs nae enough Navy jobs, Union dividend I reckon!
Hae a guid wan.
Daisy
I see Charlie Whelan of Unite must live up your way. This is his column in the Strathspey & Badenoch Herald. His article gets a fair amount of abuse. He has nothing to say about candidate selection processes though.
I have to say, I don't like your new banner image. I was comfortable with a Dietrich lookalike. Less so with a possible twin of my primary school teacher. Don't go looking for my image!
Aye CD there are still Ruperts and Henrys aroon but no' as mony as there wis. Nothing wrang wi the Navy if ye need a boat fur onything.
John I've always had that banner. A friend made it for me. It's not me but he said it's not too far too. I disagree. She does look a bit like a teacher doesn't she, you'll have to forgive me. Aye, I do feel more like Deitrich with the wink and the cigarette.
Sorry John, I meant to also say Charlie Whelan lives further north than here. I've heard he likes to play the Laird but he's beginning to learn money doesn't buy friends here.
