GORDON BROWN'S 'PACKED' EU AUDIENCE

This is a photograph of the chamber in Strasbourg during Gordon Brown's speech to MEPs. It was published by the Daily Mail yesterday and the caption read 'An overview of the packed chamber during his speech: The Prime Minister took an uncharacteristically pro-European stance'

Packed chamber?  Surely a journalist's sense of humour or one desperately trying to keep to the media instruction of 'talking up' Gordon Brown and his incompetent party. I don't feel inclined to do a head count but I think it's possibly in the 5-10% bracket.  Of course it was shortly after this photograph was taken that Dan Hannan and Nigel Farage delivered their verdicts on Mr Brown's leadership of the UK and his handling of the economy during his chancellorship.

No mention of the two gentlemen's eloquent speeches in today's papers either.  Quelle surprise. Maybe if Dan gets a million hits on Youtube they will start to take notice and he'd had well over 250,000 last time I heard.

The French and Germans walked out as Brown was speaking. He appears to not even have the credibility of Gray.

Have a look at http://tinyurl.com/d9o6oa Richard Thompsons blog on Elmer Fudd blowing more holes in his foot. FMQs will be interesting.

The tension and anger continues to simmer nicely. One little tweak upwards of the oven hob setting and hey presto, it boils over!
I know it's bad, hope it gets a smile.

Hi KW. Just watched FMQs and it wasn't that interesting. Salmond didn't use Ellon school to his advantage and Gray continued to pedal his lies about his apprentice.

Hopefully I'll get round to doing a wee post on it in the next couple of hours.

Oldrightie, I think the government want people protesting on the streets then they can bring their riot police into action. They keep telling us we're going to riot don't they?

Apparently they hung onto Brown's every word - I just wanted to get Brown and hung in the same sentence.

You managed it brownlie and very well too. Labour have been putting that fool Draper out and about to criticise Dan Hannan today. Did you watch Channel 4 news?
