A FIRST FOR HER MAJESTY

Mervyn King's appearance at the Treasury Select Committee yesterday has been widely reported in today's press.  His main message was that spending must be kept under control.

What hasn't been so widely reported is that after the hearing at the House of Commons, Mr King visited Buckingham Palace, at the Queen's invitation, for a private audience.  It was the first such audience with a Bank of England Governor in her 57 year reign.

The Queen must be very concerned about the state of the UK to send for Mr King.  Ted Foam has his view of the future and he may not be too far off the mark.

Let's be realistic here...what does Her Majesty know about the economy..€.
Be gentle...Hit me easy... I cry for nothing.

She has plenty advisors and she's not a stupid woman by any means.

She's forming an alternative Government. Frank Field, Dan Hannan and DC are due later on! The Coldstream Guards' leave cancelled!

I'm wondering what she's up to really as she's no fool and this is so unusual. Nobody picked this up until I tipped Guido off in the middle of the night. Won't bother again because I never even got a thank you.

Su

today's Gilt auction failed.

The end is nigh.

Time to put tanks in The Mall and how convenient he is out of the country so we can now declare him personna non grata and refuse him airspace to approach the UK?

Gordon en route to South America.

Will ask for political asylum in Paraguay?

Two of the unelected elite (there's a lot of those) with the power to decide the fate of the UK. Unacceptable.

subrosa said...

Would Paraguay have him do you think? I fear they would say no.

Bit like Brown himself scunnert although Queenie appears to have common sense. Very much doubt if she'll interfere to any degree though but I'm sure Gordon will get the message her 'invitation' was supposed to convey.

Hello David and thanks for your comment. Oh she couldn't do that! How on earth would they survive without the vast wealth they've accumulated through killing and fear? Plus of course all the grants they get from the public purse to preserve their many homes.

Once Queenie goes the whole circus should be disbanded.

Aye FC and neither the BBC or Sky have mentioned it.

Our media is run by the labour establishment and it continues to get worse.

Plenty posts on it in the blogosphere though so not everyone is uninformed.

The leader of the parasites will be looking to see which tax haven in which she can squirrel her money away in the event of the peasants revolving. She no doubt considers that they already are.

Yes, I am grumpy today.

I think when it comes to the econemy then Mevy king knows best, Gordon Brown should stay out of matters concerning the econemy.

Ah i see David has also visited your blog, im not sure but i think he is the guy who posts as SNP Hypocrisy on he Scotsman forums, either that its another Ford Transit aka Scottish onion blog.

Feeling better now brownlie? Maybe it's the wind, it can make me feel a little off colour. They say it's going to rain tomorrow and not be so windy so that might help, or might not :)

Ah thanks Spook, always good to know who's who. Yer a wee gem laddie :)

Points well taken, then why is the conomy in Britain in the tank...and why is her family so fucked up?..I mean the kids... plenty of smarts there....lol

Just one more comment...I do love the Queen...but I'm still and will remain iffy on her knowledge...her advisors should be rounded up

Well Sub

Who do you think that Lizzie received just after Merv?

Air Chief Marshal Sir Jock Stirrup (Chief of the Defence Staff)

A coincidence; I think not.

A coup, I think not.

A very public shot across Browns bow, I think so.

Baybe he will do the decent thing and seek asylum in Paraguay.

Does the RAF have enough planes to ount an exclusion zone against Brown

Baron, her kids are messed up because the values have changed in this country. The attitude is I want therefore I get and as quickly as possible. It's continuing with her grandchildren.

Morning FC, I didn't read that. You're becoming a superb critic and ought to get paid for it you know :)

I very much doubt if it was coincidence either, Queenie doesn't do coincidence I don't think.

She's a woman who has a sharp brain and this will have been planned in advance.

With the G20 i day show on the way, assuming Broon is allowed back into the Country, and predicted insurrection of the streets, if the Fred Goodwin vandalism wasn't a set up I'm not called Faux Cul, what can we the silent majority do to rid ourselves of this rancid, putrid excuse of a an?

How we give him a real Fistal Stimulus?

I have made no spelling mistakes in this post.

an could read man or ane, you choose

subrosa said...

Of course the Fred business was a setup. The government are desperate for us to take to the streets, then they can bring in the police and military and declare a temporary police state. The general election will be postponed indefinitely and Gordon will continue to pull the UK apart.

I think there be more than a grain of truth in that Sub

and I am not paranoid, especially since I stopped taking the medecines

subrosa said...

I've read a few articles about that this past week FC. A year ago I would have said that people were paranoid, but like you I'm not so sure now.
