Auch Juan, no it's not. So sorry, I promise I'll do better next week and include your Mandy post you did last night. It was just a bit late to change by the time it came up on my reader :(

You'll be wanting a fish supper too I suppose :)

All good choices but i really liked brownlies" The Lolaire Tragedy", very interesting and an event that many people in Scotland had forgotten, or like myself had not been firmilure with it.

Give yourself a wee fish supper for your article "THE DUNBAR MARTYRS", also very interesting and an important part of Scottish history that many had forgotten..

AMW

I think that she deserves much more than a "wee fish supper" for the Durham posting. I would throw in a deep fried Mars bar for dessert as well!

sub-rosa,

Thank you very much - the negatives are in the post! Seriously, what an honour to be mentioned on such a prestigious blog.

One thing, the name of the yacht was the "Iolaire" which is the Gaelic for sea-eagle. I remember older Hebrideans telling me that sea-eagles mate for life and that the only time they "sing" is on the loss of their mate. This singing is supposed to be the sweetest and saddest sounds ever heard in the islands. Myth or not, I don't know but perhaps one of your readers might?

Thank you Spook, but all I did was copy type from George's site.

A strange thing though - I woke in the night and came online. Was checking my stats (my techy friend says I must do that) and I noticed a visitor from 'cross of st george' so I clicked on the link. This is the page that came up:
http://www.crossofstgeorge.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=23439

Was really upset at the comments and they would let me register to protest, so I did a bit of digging and the chap who posted it on that site, appears to support the campaign for an English Parliament. That was a surprise as I thought their politics would be something else given their oozing hatred of the Scots.

Anyway, you can tell I was upset but I'm also saddened to think if the CEP are so hell bend on this anti-Scottish thing it's no wonder they've never grown.

Enough blethering.

Double posting - guilty here!

Brownlie you're such a flatterer so you are, but I appreciate it very much as I'm sure you know. Prestigious blog indeed -just cause it's quite tidy!!

Anyway to the serious stuff. Shall I do a wee post and ask folks if they know about the sea eagle? I've heard that story myself but can't find anything to substantiate it online. Surely someone knows.

Received the negatives - I do wish you'd take me from my better side though ;)

First l like to thank my manager and all my family for supporting me. And would like to thank Alex and his crew for giving me so much material. Also AMW for living in run down trailer giving me the expose on his life to win this award...if fact if i thank just about everybody then that should cover it.

Now I am a star(with a stars ego) I should also thank all the little people for reading my blog

Pure ageism where I'm concerned! I still love Subrosa and Sue!

Dear Ego-star

It's my pleasure to have included your professional contribution to this week's SSS submission to the blogosphere.

The committee's decision wasn't an easy one to reach; you will have read in the media that we were locked in argument for nearly 48 hours, the opposed being deprived of food and drink during that time.

I am now rehydrated and my course 'Do As I Say and Not As I Do' starts on Monday.

Oldrightie, it's strange, I star all the posts I like during the week then try to pick 7 on a Friday. Unfortunately quite a few are superceded by that time but I do read your blog each day. Difficult to get the mix correct.

We more mature, experienced people have to stick together :-)

Thank you, Rosa, I am deeply grateful. I would like a fish supper too, please.

I have been trawling some Scottish Labour blogs. They are all putting on comment moderation cos they are totally brown trousered about criticism. Poor old Kesia

http://keziadugdale.blogspot.com/

lisped, "It's my blog, I can do what I like" when I challenged her about this. Pram, Toys, throw.

I am overwhelmed - I made the top seven. First I'd like to thank my fellow bloggers for keeping it interesting - my family for standing by me through thick and thin - Google for providing the site - Apple for a cool computer - and last but not least - God - for being on my side.

Enjoy a fish supper guilt free WW. I speak from the seldom treat which is usually guilt-ridden.

We must keep up the good work. Labour in particular are trying so hard to take over the UK blogosphere and we can't allow that to happen.
