Not content with bullying Eire, the EU are having a go at Britain. They have - at our expense of course - set up this new website. Propaganda or communication? You decide.
The video is well worth watching. No propaganda, just communication.

I wonder whether the view in Scotland is still an independent nation within the European Union?
Time to leave, I think - but do we have the will or the bottle?
I think that is the view currently Dioclese, but there does need to be an honest debate about it.
I've never been convinced that the EU benefits Scotland any more than a trade agreement would do.
“Well, ya see, the trouble with them is, damn it, that they are all damned foreigners. They don't do things the good old English way, like us, British people. No sense of Faar Play don't you know. No. Why, damn it, the blighters don't even play cricket. Now how on earth can you trust a chap who don't play cricket? Cork on willow, the most British thing one could imagine, and these damned foreigners won’t let it into the damned Olympics. I mean damn it, who started the damned Olympics? Huh, huh? Why it was an Englishman of course. That’s why we’re having the damned things back here next time. Johnnie Foreigner tried running them a few times, no damned cricket, no damned use. Uh... that’s that bloody EEC, common market nonsense. Damn it all they have women in it. Foreign women too, damn it all to damnation.
Of course I blame that Edward Heath fellow. Not a proper Englishman Always knew there was something strange about him. Playing music and orf on his damed boat. Says all you need to know about the fellow. Not like that fine figure of a man Mrs Thatcher. I say she taught Johnnie Foreigner a thing or two, eh, fairly whipped him into shape. No messing when she was around eh... handbag at 20 paces, wonder that damned Heath fellow didn’t try that.....”
“...... Oh do be quiet Pheeleep, one is busy reigning over them, happy and glorious... (soto voce) Damned Greeks!”
And here's me thinking Queenie would be fast asleep at this time of night Tris. :)
No Mr McGeddon. I have not. FYI I don't drink. I apologise if I offended you like a bad smell.
Goodnight.
I expect they were talking in bed SR... Maybe they like a bit of passion on a Saturday night!!
:)
The Leith police dissmisseth us...see, I told you, I don't drink! I just seem like I've been drinking becuase I have a childish sense of humour.
And now I really must get off to bed. Bonne nuit à tous et à toutes!
Surely neither is offensive mr M
Dean is young and sometimes a little over enthusiastic, but better sitting here being over enthusiastic about his politics than hanging around the chip shop being offensive to old gentlemen on their way back from the pub.
Nico is of course a Labour voter, and to some that would make him offensive.
Not to me. Most of what he says is said in jest. Possibly to wind people up, me included. He's actually rather clever and perceptive, as are most of the people who comment on MR; some real intellects like James Kelly of whom I am in awe...others just ordinary relatively bright people. They are all good.
I like Nico and Dean very much and I appreciate their very different input into my blog.
As I do with everyone else who contributes, from left, right, unionist, separatist, American, French, English...
I like my blog to be a ‘lounge’ where people can drop in and say what they think. I don't care if they go off topic; I don't care if they criticise me, or my views, as long as they remain reasonable polite to other posters it’s all good with me.
Dioclese, Scotland is not an independent nation within the EU, it is merely a subject Region told what to do by the Selectocracy in Brussels, just as the 7 Regions that compose what was formerly 'England' do.
Interesting vid Subrosa, I have heard the British Empire being blamed for many things but not for being a cornerstone, and still current bulwark, of the New World Order.
Try this for starters:

Then visit 'The House of Windsor' in the left hand menu column.
tris...
Sorry if my comments upset you ( deleted).
I enjoy reading your blog so will be more open minded and tolerant in future :)
It is an interesting video banned. It's always good to here another view and the comment about the Empire being that didn't surprise me in the least.
Many thanks for the link Derek. Off to have a look. Do hope it doesn't wind me up. The blizzard here already has me over-stressed.
Why bank Regulation is a joke
Off back to my snowhole now.
Mr R. Mc:
I am delighted to have your comments on my blog. Even if they are different from mine
I see it this way. If we encourage a wide range of opinions in these “rooms” it becomes like a melting pot of ideas and views. Sometimes something others say chimes, and we alter our own thinking for the better.
If all I had on my own blog was views that agreed with mine, I'd soon be absolutely certain I was right all the time... ‘Yes Tris, you're so right.’ ‘I couldn't agree more with you Tris.’ You're a genius Tris.’....Well OK it is tempting, but I think I’d get fed up pretty quickly.
And I’d never learn anything. As it is I have this wide range of opinions from young and old, left and right, nationalist and unionist. And on a Saturday night, drunk and sober.
I love it that way.
You didn’t upset me. I just wanted to let you know how I felt. Thank you for the compliment about the blog. I hope you’ll continue to read and contribute combatatively!! :¬) (Is that a word?)
But it is true. I almost never drink. I had a sip of wine about 18 months ago at a party, and a glass of whisky ages ago, when John won the Glasgow seat in the English parliament from that old Labour fiddler.

H/T to Dr. North.
Many thanks CH. A foot here now and it's still falling.
Hi Rosa -just trying this -Google is playing me about or I'm playing it.
However in case it get through the video is worth a watch.
Makes you evaluate the difficulties for an independent Scotland when allied to the reticence of the SNP.
