A Video All Parents In Scotland Should See

The NO2NP campaign video, from their recent Inverness roadshow, addresses the ‘named person’ issue.

Alison Preuss has done a great deal in the field of home education in recent years and has also been vocal with regard to the Scottish government's ‘named person’ policy.

In the video she details out the small print within the policy document. Please circulate this if possible as it is vital, for the sake of parents and children, that all parents in Scotland have this information.

There is a transcript of Alison's presentation (and two more recent ones which weren't filmed) over on the Schoolhouse website with hyperlinks to references.

Disturbing as GIRFEC is, it is but one example of a government that is rapidly becoming more and more authoritarian; more and more Orwellian.

In a similar vein we now have ‘The National Health Service Central Register’ (NHSCR) which is a mere front for the collection of BigData on us all. It will span from our cradle to our grave, and be accessible by some 98 various bodies, some quasi-official and some governmental.

Whilst I am delighted at the prospect of the main Westminster parties getting their comeuppance come the election, there is a lurking fear and trepidation that elements within the SNP may look to curtail yet more of our civil liberties.

Thank you for the link Sheila. I should have put it in the post. Good to hear from you.

Strangely you should mention the NHS database JRB. You’ve jogged my memory for a post sometime this week.

Yes, it is all about the data...

Measuring "wellbeing" as defined by the CHYP Act by the SHANARRi indicators means everything about everybody (including health).

This is horrifying, what on earth has happened to Scotland, sounds more like East Germany every day.
