Poll Results - TLP

The result of the poll which asked the question 'Should The Liverpool Pathway Be Scrapped?' has produced 76.04% in favour of ridding the Scottish and other health services of the 'target'.

Politicians are becoming aware caring is a skill slowly receding from health care services, although those promoting TLP would say it is a compassionate end of life programme.  Seems most of the readers of this blog disagree.

Thank you all for voting.  It's always encouraging to see the number of you who take the trouble to give your opinion.

As someone once involved variously with main battle tanks and the severely handicapped there are complications and difficulties regarding which management notions of throughput, turnover, reducing the margins etc. simply do not and cannot work. As the seriously ill are by definition handicaped they too cannot be managed by numbers alone.
