Rosie, Westminster dealt with this question with the Criminal Law Act 1967. Section 13, Schedule 4 which repealeded the Statutes of Praemunire. Praemunire was the offence under English law of appealing to or obeying a foreign court or authority, thus challenging the supremacy of the Crown. I wonder if a similar provision ever existed under Scots Law and whether it too was repealed as part of the conspiracy of surrender of sovereignty aka the European Communities Act 1972.
May I recommend the video by Nigel Spearing which is also on the website of the Campaign for an Independent Britain www.eurosceptic.org.uk
Nigel, a Labour MP, was the last to speak against the European Communities Act 1972 He explains how MPs voted for a treaty which they had not had the opportunity to read.

Well, I hate to say "I told you so", so I won't.
I have, however, been saying this for three years now, and most people say I am a lunatic.
I may well be. But more and more "lunatics" seem to be agreeing with me.
Folks, if the foundation is wrong, we don't have a house.
I hate to repeat myself, but we do not have a foundation.
Which is why I entered Lawful Rebellion. To rebuild the foundation, and/or to demand that our Sovereign Lady does.
She ain't listening.
We need another 600,000 Rebels.
Do your duty.

So, the oaths I swore to the crown (Official secrets act, etc.) aren't binding. Can of worms opened.
Seems the oaths ,if I read this right, just transfer a step up the tree, to the EU, or am I mistaken?
Brian thanks for that explanation.
Thank you too for the link Edward.
I was hoping you'd notice this CP. I'm trying to do my bit. :)
Seems so Bill. If you look at Brian's links etc.
If you're mistaken Apogee then so am I.
