Afghanistan
Two British soldiers were killed in Afghanistan yesterday. They were from the 3rd Battalion The Parachute Regiment and the 4th Battalion The Parachute Regiment.
The latest deaths mean that four soldiers have died in the space of 5 days. A total of 354 UK military personnel have now died in the Afghan war.
Bring them home. This war is futile.

What can l say Rosa? Our troops have to act as policemen in a fully fledged combat zone. The politicians and civil servants use them just for their own personal ambitions. lf we moved the HOC etc to Afghanistan we'd soon see a bloody change!
I think it's all been said SH. Blair,Brown and now Cameron have destroyed the best military in the west.
SH has a good idea to end the conflict, send the perpetrators out there.
Keep the troops there. The government needs the drug money.
It is bad enough that troops die, but they do not just die there, they die back home after returning. The Gulf, Iraq, Afghanistan, American and British. But what has been left as an all time legacy for not just the Middle east, but for the entire World, is the radio active dust that thousands of tons of depleted uranuium has created as it is wafted around the globe. For the indiginous people, we leave them this:

We are there to rape their resources under false pretenses. Those who volunteer have no idea of what is ahead of them, and when they come back, if they come back, we cannot begin to understand why they are the way they are.

We don't need dope money HC.
That you Derek. I hadn't seen the 1991 video before so it's bookmarked now.
I had seen the first video about DU but am watching the second now. It's seldom spoken about here. Perhaps I ought to do a post about it.
I think we should return to the days when "Leaders" of countries went to war with their troops. I think the thirst for war would die within politicians pretty quick then.
Now there's an idea Jo, but you know what would happen here don't you? They'd send poor Queenie out on her horse.
