A great homage to Pete, and of course, Thora Hird, a gamely old women who acted up to her last breath.

Thank you for posting SR.

Unfortunately it's a sake o 'All Rights Reserved' on most of his work BigYin, but I thought this wee clip appropriate.

Rosie, a good clip.

However I am concerned at the options that you have up in your poll about the Polis. There should also be one for less police and change it because it's not working, if you see what I mean. If half the bastards went out and caught criminals instead of running about in fancy cars stopping motorists for hee haw, then we could do away with most of them. I sound like a Daily Mail reader!

Now DL, you sound like a brow beaten moterist. Don't let the basterds get you down mate.

Agreed DL about the police, though hee haw polis sounds best to my ears.

And I am devastated by Pete's death. I had just finished watching the Age of Stupid earlier today, only to log on to Facebook and see people's statuses about it. A wonderful and very versatile actor, a great man, and sadly underestimated. So many people today asked 'who?'

Aye DL I see what you mean. My excuse is I had a hell of a job finding a poll which would work (and was free) and it was the middle of the night I came across that one in the middle of the night. Then I lost my list of answers. :( So yes, but then I did put 'wee' poll.

He was an actor who quickly took on the skin of a character and you forgot it was him didn't you? Like Julie Walters (who was his girlfriend when they were younger).

If you liked that, try and get hold of the rest of Deric Longdens books, especially if you are owned by cats.

Thanks for that Rightwinggit. I'm not owned by cats but I have a friend who is and it's her birthday next month. One of his books will be a lovely present for a woman who has nearly everything.

Big Yin, I may be a motorist, but brow beaten? Not as long as I have a breath left in my body!
