Why Doesn't This Case Invoke the HRA?

In recent years there have been several stories about social services 'stealing' children in order to reach adoption targets.

Now social services have moved on to 'stealing' adults.

Stephen Neary is a 20 year old man with autism.  His father asked his local authority's respite centre, where Stephen had been once before, for help when he had flu.

Please read the whole story and sign the petition.  Don't expect it to be heart-warming because it's not.  Remember, this could happen to someone dear to you if legislation isn't changed to make it impossible.

Why is it prisoners can invoke the RHA yet a case such as this is refused the right?

If you haven't already done so SR, read Christopher Booker's liturgy on this subject in the Sunday Telegraph.

And this happens in a civilized society?

When I get in power, I can assure you there will be a few 'forced incarcerations' of MPs (lol)

WfW, THAT'S the one I was looking for and I just couldn't remember the author's name.

I will do a link to it. Off to find it.

Two interesting videos I first saw a couple of years ago which will change peoples preconceptions as it did mine.

I really enjoyed these CH and also the perfect pitch site. Learned rather a lot from them, thanks.

Thanks for that Subrosa, we have had two cases of this that we have known of. Both originated at school, one was a girl molested by a boy of another faith and the other voiced a sentiment that there are too many immigrants in the Country.

The girl now lives outside the UK, the second is still at home with his mother after a lot of hassle but not at that school anymore. V

Very sorry story indeed which encourages me to keep as far away from agents of the state as possible.

Chris Booker has spent years banging on about SS child-snatchers and their secret courts with some success. It was announced a good couple of years ago that the bounties paid to Local Authorities would cease.

They not only encouraged councils to steal a larger number of children but those children tended to be healthy, white , bright, well adjusted and un-siblinged babies who are easier to farm out in the adoption market. That left those who might actually needing help but who happened to be disabled, from other cultures, mal-adjusted (due to abuse usually) or older stuck back at home with hopeless mum &/dad.

It's dreadful V isn't it? And we call ourselves civilised.

Aye banned, it's a sad state of affairs. I tried to see if the money to LAs had been stopped but it's difficult to find details.
