Another Example of the Abuse of Power

The above photo is of Obama's motorcade on the coast road on the east coast of Oahu, Hawaii.  Some will protest this amount of protection is a waste of public money, but let's remember Obama is a politician elected by the American people.

Who do you think said the following:

When Barack Obama goes on vacation, is he not the president of the United States? When Nicolas Sarkozy goes on vacation, is he no longer the president of France?,
Well done those of you who said a spokesman for -

Herman, the unelected President of the European Council, is in trouble for using his motorcade as a taxi service to run his family from Brussels to Paris (and back) to get a flight to and from their private holiday, thought to be in the Caribbean.

Mr Van Rompey lives in Sint-Genesius-Rode, a leafy Brussels suburb, less than 10 miles from the city's Gare du Midi where there are frequent high-speed train services to Paris and other European capitals.

"All costs of the private part of the holiday, down to the last euro, were met by the president," his spokesman said.  "The security requirement was paid for out of his office budget." (My emphasis).

Just to ensure you know where your money's gone, the motorcade taking the 162 mile single trip - undertaken twice - chauffeured Van Rompey, his wife and four children, two of their spouses and two grandchildren.

In Obama's case, I can't say I blame him, all those rednecks are just waiting for a chance....

However,I'm sure the UNELECTED RUMPY PUMPY will get told off, NOT!

None of the EU are answerable to anybody, that's what makes them a dictatorship!

We can't even rely on left wing extremists to blow our lot up, nope they just pick on innocent people.

Although I may winge about the elected Sue, I'm furious about this imposter. Indeed, it is a dictatorship.

I hear that the paparazzi are chasing after the picture of the year.
Von Rumpey lying on the beach in his speedos while his friend the EU Foreign Leader Ms Ashton lovingly administers the ambre solaire. Calm down ladies....

SR - at least he didn't give you a picture of Herbie Remploy-van in a mankini. That would be a horrible image.

(sorry)

I wonder what the O'Blimey cavalcade expected in Hawaii though? Another Pearl Harbour? There's not much else there.

Those that are there are pretty relaxed.

LI, doesn't Obama have connections with Hawaii in some way? Something about birth certificates rings a bell.

Try having heads-of-state gunned down, as we have. And Obama is obviously at even higher risk than most. I don't know of any sane Americans who object to security for the president.

Obama was born and raised in Hawaii and there are a number of things there--such as citizens. (Mind you, I happen to think THEY should get a referendum on their constitutional status, since we took over Hawaii by force of power but that's another subject)

Jeanne, I made no complaint about Obama's security. He's an elected politician.

Rumpey is not an elected politician.

There is a difference.
