Public Service Broadcasting

Newsnet Scotland is a site which somehow discovers the stories not mentioned in the Scottish press.

Today's article concerns the long argued issue of Scottish broadcasting. The BBC are determined to keep programming centralised in London and over the past couple of decades more and more Scots have wanted far more news related and produced to Scotland.

It seems the SNP government have now taken further steps to ensure that success is on the cards. An excuse in the past about digital broadcasting was that it wouldn't reach everyone. Surely now that the switchover to digital is well underway this shouldn't be a problem.
