Aye he did it! Andy Murray won the Toronto Masters yesterday playing Roger Federer in the final and became the first man since Andre Agassi in 1995 to win back-to-back Toronto Masters titles, defeating Roger Federer 7-5 7-5, after multiple rain delays.
It was a close, tense match, not least because of the lengthy rain delays and I don't think his play was quite as exciting as it had been earlier in the week, but he did what he had to do and that was win.
Well done lad. The US Open gets underway in two weeks for those of you who follow the sport.

From an Englishman's point of view, it's nice to see a British winner as opposed to a Scottish loser!!
The difference is obvious--his Mammy's back in charge! (Would YOU like to upset Judy Murray?)
PS to Judy. Tell Andy to drop that drop-shot....

Now that's what I call diplomacy Dioclese. :)
No William, the very thought has my stomach churning. Mind you, I've heard on the grapevine, she knows her stuff.
Yeah, that was a good game.
Hope all is well with you, SB.
William, I'd just published my last comment to you when I though - 'Shouldn't that read 'NOT to drop that drop shot'?
Hi Bunni, aye it was ok but not his best match of the week. Nevertheless.
I'm fine. I've been watching some of your very interesting videos. Do hope you're fighting fit.
SR No,I meant what I wrote.
The drop-shot is brilliant when it comes off, but Andy has lost more valuable points than he's gained from it. (IMO)
No arguments about Judy's talents!!

William, we seldom agree, but I have to admit (albeit with some reluctance) that you're right on this occasion.
SR--not sure that "we seldom agree", but there is another "William" with whom I do often disagree. To avoid confusion I now sign my posts (although I sometimes forget!).
William Brown
That's a great idea William. I apologise if I confused you with another.
