Back in 1969 Blue Mink released their first single 'Melting Pot'. Immediately I was hooked by the talent of the group and in particular the exceptional voice of Madeline Bell.
What brought this song to mind was an essay in the Brussels Journal, by Fyordman, entitled 'A Communism for the 21st Century' in which he attempts to analyse the ideological and historical roots of multiculturalism.
I consider it to be a worthwhile read for anyone who is interested in how our society has been engineered in recent years.

Nationalism is nothing but Social Engineering
Patriotism is an antidote to social engineering.
Running your own country and its affairs is the best antidote to Westmidden a) firstism and b) troughism....mind you when they go, I'll have to insist them take Glasgow Labourism with them
I don't know how you work that one out Niko.
Yes indeed, but there's not so much of it about these days Stewart.
If only Dram, if only.
Great song and, sadly, I still have it. When I get the time I will read the article.
I have it too Gedguy but it's on a Mamas and Papas CD. Dates me doesn't it.
Thank ye kindly Mrs SR fer giein me that beautiful song tae wake up tae this mornin, ah've aye loved it. Madeline's voice is pure honey in a cup. Whitivver yin's views oan multiculturalism, we can aw agree that it wid be a better world if we aw stopped fechtin fer a day an stertit singin songs th'gither.
"Social engineering" sounds too benign please replace with - Cultural Contrivance, which I suggest is a more apt description of the ulterior motive. The author of Subrosa's recommended essay at least has the insight to label "social engineering" and/or
"multiculturism" as freaky 21st century communism.
Yer niver wrang Sophia. It wid be a braw wurld if awbiddy trilled their tonsils noo an agin.
I rather liked the title too Clarinda. It suits the situation well.
"Dates me doesn't it....."
Pah.
Got the original single.
Ok, ok Rightwinggit. I didn't have a record player in those days. My choice was to own a car. Life was all about priorities. :)
