FMQs 17 June 2010
Why Iain Gray picked the curriculum for excellence for his three questions today defeats me. It's rather a wooly subject and he gave Alex Salmond an easy ride.
Have a listen to today's rather witty remark from the FM at around 3.00 minutes.
If you don't have time to view the video then you can find a brief summary of the half hour here on the BBC website.

I haven't managed to watch it yet (having been chased out the house by electricians today), but as for why Gray might be going for CfE, it's probably because this week (I believe) is the first week of the new timetables for secondary schools and the start for the CfE in secondary education.
Courting the EIS (who are currently balloting on strike action for another matter) is probably part of it as well. It's a good way to court the education vote in general given the unpopularity of CfE, although as I'm sure Big Eck points out, it was Labour idea in the first place.
I got the impression that he was trying hard to get onside with the unions with this Hythlodaeus and that was the only reason it was mentioned. He was very short on any detail.
Rosie, I would have thought with the length of time you've been covering this subject that you would have realised it's FOUR questions Gray gets and two each for the other numpties.
Ah DL, so you spotted the deliberate mistake. :) Actually he does get 4 but the first one doesn't count or does it?
