Scotland's Press

Many of you know I'm a fan of the journalist Kenneth Roy, who is now the editor of the Scottish Review, an excellent online current affairs magazine.

In his lead article today he asks 'Can the Scottish press be saved?' Do read it for yourself and, for my non-Scottish readers, I would say his points are just as relevant to your part of the UK.

Subrosa it is an interesting article but I wouldn't miss the Scottish MSM if it were to disappear of the face of the planet.

Frankly speaking our 3 main papers,The Herald,Daily Record and the Maddox Nat bashing times are rubbish. All 3 of them sing from the same hymn book and don't offer much diversity from each other.

Sunny here too btw!

Just back from Hols in not so sunny north Italy........decided that since I had done without the Herald for the better part of three weeks I can live without it's slanted output. The election run in, the Alex Salmond "infamous" meals for money articles and the handling of the Purcell incident did it for me.
Saving money now!

Nice here earlier in tram line city

Dram you lucky man and one of my favourite spots. Usually stay south of Lake Garda in a not so well know wee community then run around from there. Even in cooler weather it's still a lovely part of Europe.

You haven't missed much and will be able to catch up with all the wheeling and dealing quickly.

Beautiful day here. I've caught the sun from messing in the garden and it was still enough to spray pathways etc.

A little cooler now though.
