Afghanistan

Another day, another soldier killed in Afghanistan. He served with the 1st Battalion The Royal Welsh and was killed yesterday as a result of a gunshot wound sustained during an exchange of fire with insurgents. He was on a foot patrol near Showal in the Nad 'Ali district of Helmand province.

Another family's life will never be the same. The death toll now rises to 281.

Let us not forget our armed forces are not in Afghanistan to defend the streets of the UK - quite the contrary. The politicians who agree with this war ought to take a long, hard look at their reasons and ask themselves if they can, with honesty, continue to support it.

This dreadful toll continues. An election issue? Don't be silly. It's just a £6 billion pounds, death cycle. Unimportant, move along. God, I hate Labour and I'm getting very weary of the weak responses from The Tories. Just imagine a manifesto that said, "EU referendum, pulling out of Afghanistan and freezing council tax"? Well they have one out of three!

A death cycle right enough OR, with not one ounce of guilt in any politician who supports this war.

Never was Hemingway's quote more true than with this shower in office & their twisted, evil logic."They wrote in the old days that it is sweet and fitting to die for one’s country. But in modern war, there is nothing sweet nor fitting in your dying. You will die like a dog for NO GOOD REASON."Rest In Peace,Mr Soldier my thought are with you.
