10.30am This Morning - Sky News

Alex Salmond (SNP), Alistair Carmichael (Libdem), Jim Murphy (Labour) and David Mundell (Tory) are debating Scottish and UK issues on Sky News this morning at 10.30am.

This is the first debate in which Alex Salmond has agreed to take part. Why this one? He appears to think Sky have been far more accommodating that the BBC or ITV since Scotland was ignored in the Leaders' Debates.

Why Jim Murphy (the Scottish Secretary at Westminster) represents Scotland I don't know. I thought the leader of the MSPs in Scotland was Iain Gray but he's nowhere to be seen during this campaign. Tavish Scott (the leader of the libdems in Scotland) doesn't want to appear for some reason and the tories, once again, wheel out their only Scottish MP.

Alex Salmond won't allow Jim Murphy his usual caustic remarks without ensuring they're met with the sharp edge of his razor sharp wit and somehow I feel it will be the Alex and Jim show. We can but hope it holds the attention for longer than the English based debates, but with Alex Salmond on the stage, I doubt if it will be anything but boring.

I'll be watching!

I'm a Nat, waiting for the broadcast on Skye TV!

Alec soon sent Andrew Marr away this morning with a fly in his ear, made the EBC look petty!

Auch I didn't see Marr's hour CD. I will look on iPlayer.

Murphy was dreadful on the banking question. He doesn't have a clue.

All he's doing is talking up the broken union.

Alec is holding his own and Murphy is peddling the same boring old crap, much better than the Westmidden centric debate, looking fwd to more.....

You did well forfar loon and perhaps, on election night, if you decide to organise then you could do something similar.

Then again, I'm sure there will be lots of live chat blogging going on but some people don't like that style.
