There's a brand new and independent news gathering service just been launched to support the UK blogosphere. A group of fellow bloggers have got together to provide a valuable resource, keeping you bang up to date with what's really going on out there.

Good one, I have added to my main "hit list" for checking out info. A reliable survey like this is invaluable.
I have added to my Blog roll but i do wonder if this will only be a guest blog for a little while.
If it is another anti-Gordon anti-left of center hate Blog then it will be binned.
only time will tell and they get the benefit of the doubt..for now.But I'll be watching the editorial style very closely.
I doubt if it will be that Niko. It started out as the superb ukwebspider but it was too much for one person.
It will develop as an excellent resource for UK news.
Not exactly unbiased coverage though.
How do you mean Hythlodaeus? It used to be one person doing it all on ukwebspider and he tried had to be unbiased.
Now he has help because he couldn't cope with the 10 hours a day involved with the previous site.
I will post Scottish news and do my best not to be biased.
If you feel you would like to help provide the service just get in touch and I'll give you the main email address.
I only looked over the first twenty or so stories, but it all seems to be a bit right-wing. Not Tory, but definitely conservative - I'm seeing a lot of stories which are anti-issue and very few in favour of anything.
Of course, that doesn't mean it's not a good service, just not one for me ;)
It's a difficult one Hythlodaeus. The chap who is in charge has no political affiliations and tries hard to be unbiased. I said I would post the Scottish headlines and there's seldom anything positive there these days.
I certainly wouldn't call some of the other contributers right wing - quite the contrary, but give it a few weeks to settle then have another look. You just may find something to interest you.
Cool Site. Have added it to my blog too. We are going to need something once the online dead tree start charging us to read stuff they've pinched from bloggers!
That's not far away Sue although a couple do it already. The Times starts in June I think.
I can understand the accusations of bias. There's me and UKWebspider (the guy who started it) posting during the day, and Subrosa posting at night. We have one or two alternative views lined up.
We're avoiding party political bias altogether. We'll post anything from the BNP to the Morning Star/Communist Party, as long as it's holding someone to account.
UKwebspider is looking for further contributors of news that doesn't necessarily cover what is deemed to be "mainstream", so if anyone feels that they have something interesting to post, get in touch with him at theuknewsnetwork
@googlemail.com.
