The 6 Nations

Today Scotland takes on England at Murrayfield in the 6 Nations.

The kick-off is at 5pm and the game will be recorded live in BBC 1.

I've little to add except to say may the better team win.

Sadly, in this case, it will be more 'may be team that makes the least mistakes win': neither side are exactly at the top of their game this year.

Still, best of luck to both. ;-)

A bottle of Laphroaig if the Scots win.

I drink Greenall's Gin by the way.

I think my bet's safe.

One of the nice things about reading your blog is the care you take with your grammar. Better of the two, best of three. Thank you.

Now:

Engerla-a-a-and!

I'm with Constantly Furious on this one. Both teams have got to improve their games, Lady luck has a habit of running out on you.
I'm just hoping for a good game.

Home win would be nice though!

Aye CF, neither team has what it takes this year. Never mind, someone will win. ;)

Oh Cato, Greenall's gin. A long time since I've heard of it and it's not so expensive either these days. I had a quick google for the price. ;)

Yes indeed your bet's safe I'm sure.

Richard, it's the memory of a primary teacher, when we were about 6 or 7, being very speedy with the ruler! She was also superb at the psychological stuff of embarrassing you in front of your peers. "I see Rosie didn't pay attention when we were discussing xyz". Nobody wanted the shame.

Thanks for the compliment.

QM, I'm sure too - I mean that you will win. :)

Nice Apogee? Nice? It would be fabulous!!

Now how would you like to be entertained CD? I do hope the two of you are in separate rooms. Nothing like a rugby match to destroy a marriage. ;)

Ireland are doing well.

I passed Murrayfield on the bus coming home from work, the Famous Grouse were passing out free drams! And me stuck on a bus!

I hope you pour a decent sized one before 5pm Conan. :)

Think Murrayfield need to change their record - Runrig's Loch Lomond is now grating on the ears they have hundreds of other tunes which are equally more fitting.

Not over yet..... X

I've started on the fortified CD. Not looking good right now. Not the fortified, the game. :)

Aye I don't know who is play that. It's certainly not the pipes and drums of QVS.

Oh well! That's that for another year!

We got a point! And we didn't lose to England...

subrosa said...

Aye CD that's it. We missed too many chances.

subrosa said...

Right enough Conan, we didn't lose. :)

I ought to see if I can do one of these live running forum thingies to do with the 6 nations. I'll have a word will biasedBBC and AllSeeingEye. They're experts at it.

SR, I had a primary teacher like you, I think. I'm reminded of the late Magnus Magnusson, and his "the competitor with the fewer or fewest passes". And don't get me started on "ten items or less"!

Ah, ten items or less. Right enough, let's not go there Richard.
