Afghanistan
A British soldier was killed in Afghanistan yesterday afternoon the MoD have reported. He was from 36 Engineer Regiment, serving as part of the Counter-Improvised Explosive Device Task Force.
He died from wounds received as a result of an explosion near Patrol Base EZARAY, to the north-east of Sangin District Centre in Helmand Province.
The British dead now number 261. Another life lost in this needless war and I see no end to it.
