Sadly and tragically another British soldier has been killed in Afghanistan the Ministry of Defence has announced. He was part of the 1st Battalion Cold Stream Guards and died as the result of an explosion that happened in the Babaji district of central Helmand yesterday morning.

This soldier's death takes the toll from the Afghanistan war to 257.

It's important we recognise the sacrifice these people give in our name. Some may not agree with the reasons for this war, any more than many of us do, but they do their job without complaint in the hope that their efforts will protect those who live on these islands.

I am appalled that this is not easily located in the news and MSM. That too is shameful.

They've been hushed I suspect OR. Need to keep an eye on the MoD's site now rather than rely on the MSM.
