No Fuss Please

Just for the record it's a year ago today this blog came into being, after I struggled for days with the technology.

A big thank you to all of you.

I have made arrangements for someone to be present to receive the sea of flowers which is bound to arrive and may I remind you that any 18ct yellow gold items must be sent registered post.

If my memory serves me correctly, that is essential and contained in the Health and Safety Guidelines, page 7,821 item vii, section P, sub-section vi - xi.

Bottles should be treated in a similar manner.

Many Happy returns of the day.
Flowers not environmentally friendly
Booze there was a risk it would go off in transit so I will leave it with me.
Jewels etc.....too blingy not for a lady of your class.

Therefore a blog comment of the quality of this it is then.

It has indeed Ollie, for many of us. Thanks.

You're a treasure LotF but I'm sure you know that. I've other friends like you you know, but when you get to my age you want fun not fuss.

i hope you're paying top prices for the gold. My envelope is ready.

Well done SR.

That's fantastic! You've done so well! Congrats and many happy returns! x

Aye Anna, mine have descended into grooves along with the hair. Now it's high highlights and low lowlights plus anything in between. A lengthy process for any hairdresser!

Belated birthday wishes to you.

Ah Cato, my gold was bought before Gordon managed to sell our reserves and thus push the prices up.

Thanks for the praise. The blog's success isn't mine, it's my readers though.

Thanks TT, the congratulations should go to my readers though. They're the ones who have made it what it is.

Many thanks Auto. It's been an interesting year to say the least. As long as I learn something every day (which I do) then on we go.

Just got in from clearing the drive in snowy West Sussex. Our county council had plenty of salt so the govmunt are giving their next delivery to other "more needy" councils. Just like feckless benefit junkies really.

Anyway, back on topic. I hadn't realised when I first read your blog, SR, that it must have been very new at that time. Thanks for a year of common sense and here's to many more!

I hope you got the bottle, the gold and the flowers, although, as I sent it from Greenland when I was there yesterday morning, I didn't necessarily follow all the EU/UK rules.... sorry.

Congratulations on being 1 btw.

Congratulations SR! Quite happy to provide a bottle or two but the condition is that I help in reducing their contents!

subrosa said...

Does that mean I shouldn't wait around for them Tris? lol

Thanks. At times it doesn't seem a year and at others it feels like twenty. :)

Ah WfW, a man with the right attitude to gifts! They're so much better shared aren't they.

Subrosa, we share the same blogging anniversary, this very day.

Good wishes. Your blog is very good; I'd thought you were an old hand!

Congrats SR - you shame me with your abilities to surf, paste and acknowledge. I on the other hand am content to write what I think and hope for the molecules to form into miracles of sense and democracy.

To fight for the right of hope is far better than wallowing in the slough of despond -or even Slough for that matter.

Lang may your blog reek.

Always of interest and intrigue to read your blog - and your care to reply and enhance the debate boosts the effectiveness of blogging!
Champagne and chocolates - theoretically!

Jings OR I knew we had something special between us. ;)

subrosa said...

Jock that's most kind of you. The road clearing situation here isn't what it used to be either. That's what is called progress.

subrosa said...

Strathturret I'm just old some would say. I prefer to think I'm maturing.

subrosa said...

Ah Crinkly, from you that's a compliment. It's good though that people like us can bring matters which the MSM ignore, to a wider audience. Lang may we manage!

subrosa said...

Clarinda, theoretically is fine. I appreciate such calorie free gifts especially after the excesses of the past weeks.

Good on yer, Rosie!

I know that you have had one or two troubles along the way but, from an avid reader's point of view, it's been well worth it.

Thanks for sticking at it and long may you continue ;-)

subrosa said...

Gotty, without help from you and others like you, I wouldn't have managed so it's thanks to you and my readers.

Wow, just one year? When I arrived I thought you were a well established long term blogger, class always shows. Congratulations Subrosa.
8 degrees C here with the sun about to reappear.

Thanks banned.

I don't really want to hear about you basking in your heatwave while my car battery is now flat as a pancake after all the time I've spent starting it every day. :)

SR, I picked up this great piece of kit called a "battery booster". It's self contained and looks a bit like jump leads on a box; when your battery is shagged just attatch the leads and hey presto - Ignition.
Mind you, it does get a bit sparky if you attatch the the leads to the wrong terminals!

Hi SR. Happy Birthday.
Congratulations for the first year of a well managed blog which always manages to have articles of interest.
And seems to attract mostly sane commenters!!
Good luck and best wishes for the next years.

Hi Apogee. That's very much. Well-managed? I don't know about that lol. It's all down to the readers though Apogee, they set the style.
