Afghanistan Death Toll Rises

Two more soldiers have been killed in the past 24 hours in Afghanistan. One soldier was from the 7th Batallion The Rifles (7 Rifles) attached to the 3 Rifles battle Group and was killed as a result of small arms fire whilst on a foot patrol near Sangin yesterday and just announced is the death of a soldier from 33 Engineer Regiment, Royal Engineers who was killed on an explosion. This serviceman was part of the Counter-IED Task Force.

This takes the death toll in Afghanistan to 234. I note many of the MSM have stopped stating the total. I will continue to do so.

More families destroyed by the actions of Gordon Brown who appears to have completely given up trying to convince us this war is justified and that's because there is no plausible reason for our continuing presence in the country.

Another couple of sympathy letters for him to write while he sits and waits for President Obama to telephone with further orders. Meantime many countries in Nato are now arranging for the withdrawal of their troops because they feel their presence is doing more harm than good for their own safeties.

He's dressing up, aided by his butler, to justify "our streets" mantra again, tonight. Should be a bit of change out of £100,000 for the taxpayer . Furthermore he wants to host a debate on Afghanistan next year. Yup, more expensive junketing and turd polishing. This should come in at another G20 style budget. Circa £15million quid. Mental is a kind phrase for this lunatic.
