WELCOME TO SCOTSVOICES.EU
It's not often I promote individual blogs in a post, but I really must bring this one to the attention of readers.
It is a group blog written by some excellent bloggers. The following is the introduction:
WELCOME TO SCOTSVOICES.EU
SCOTSVOICES is intended to be an open forum for competing and complimentary visions of how Scottish Democracy will develop over the next few years. Whether that development be within the current devolution settlement or with further devolution or indeed as an independent state.
The publication of the Calman Report on the 15th June 2009 and a promised Parliamentary Referendum Bill later this year could mean fundamental shifts in how Scotland is Governed, this forum seeks to discuss, compare and contrast a diverse range of thinking about how democracy can develop at Local & National level.
The site is moderated and administered by it's own authors.
Contributions are always welcome, however the forum is intended for the exploration of Scotland's Political future from a non-partisan perspective and commentators and members alike are expected to adhere to that rule.
"'Progressive thought is wide in its sweep, and truth arises from the clash of opinions."
If you wish to contribute a post, whether you are a regular blogger or periodic commentator with a bee in your bonnet, you can get involved and get it off your chest by emailing us here

Anyone who has even the slightest interest in Scotland and the politics is sure to find something to stimulate their thoughts and debate is encouraged. You don't have to be Scots or even live here to enjoy the articles. A place where all the viewpoints of Scottish politics is needed in the blogosphere and this is it!

I feel guilty because I've been an author there since pretty much the start and not contributed anything at all!
To be honest, I'm needing to re-charge my blogging batteries, I'm getting a bit jaded at the minute. Big things about to happen in real life occupying my thoughts and really can't be bothered much...
Jings Rab, the post wasn't to give you a guilt trip in any way, it was just to draw the attention of folks to the excellent writings there.
Do so hope things are going well and it's perfectly understandable you're jaded. Must be all that painting!!
Painting all done, thankfully! Less than four weeks to go on that other thing. I'm shitting ma breeks.
Hang on in there Rab, your support is the most valuable thing in the world at the moment.
Where's the forum ? All I can see is a moderated blog.
That comes across more abrupt than I intended, it was a genuine query. :)
This is what I understand a forum to be:
http://www.scotland.com/forums/
Ah, you're talking about a moderated forum Chris which requires daily management and particular software.
I understood a forum to be :
A medium for open discussion or voicing of ideas, such as a newspaper, a radio or television program, or a website. (free dictionary definition)
The idea of Scotsvoices was that anyone could write their views and then they take responsibility for the comments arising.
Does it matter that there's no software installed? The comments are still there.
Well done Subrosa for promoting Scots voices. Like Rab i feel a bit guilty becouse i have not contribuated to the blog much.
I think we all owe Wardog a big thanks for setting up Scot voices. When it comes to forums and areas on the constitution, then Wardog is top (DOG)..Pardon the pun.. :)
I would agree Spook and I'm as guilty as anyone for not writing on it. I shall try to do better.
Wardog does deserves a big pat on the back, but somehow I think he's prefer a big glass of something. :)
We'll get it resolved as to how to attract more people to join in. If you've any ideas let Wardog know.
Yes, well done Wardog (and you have no idea how odd that sounds).
