Day Out

Manuel De Los Santos, Franz Klammer, Aiden Quinn

Update 10am: Play has been abandoned today because of high winds. It is hoped it can continue tomorrow with the final on Monday.
11.10am: It has just been explained to me that the wind is so strong balls are oscillating on the greens. As it is against the rules to hit a moving ball, it was decided to postpone play. I learn something every day!

If you would like a day by the seaside and enjoy golf, think about joining the golf fans and celebrity spotters at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship which is being played at Carnoustie, St Andrews and Kingsbarns.

The third round will be played today and the final on Sunday will take place on the Old Course, St Andrews.

According to the BBC you should bring a raincoat and some stout shoes as it's going to be heavy rain in this area. I'm looking outside into rather pleasant sunshine right now, although it has been wet and windy overnight. I'm not saying the sunshine will last though.

Tomorrow is set to be a fine day and with a balmy sea breeze the Old Course will be at its best.

Now I'm off to phone the St Andrews Tourist Board to claim my advertising fee!
