You've just reminded me about the car clock. You really need an advanced course in technology to change the one in mine but I'll give it a go in the morning.
With friends like this..... Received a call at the new 8.45am this morning from a good mate who "didn't realise" the clocks went back last night. As a result, I have been even grumpier than usual.
D'you know, I'v always wondered what happened to people working nights on the change over.
Clearly you have to work that extra hour, and equally clearly you get an hour off in the March change over. But what, I pondered, if you were nights one of the times and days the other.
I've tortured myself over it for years.... Do you get an extra hour's pay? Do you lose an hour's pay in March?

Thank you, did the car clock yesterday afternoon, the phone before putting it on charge and the house clocks before turning in.

An extra hour at work for me while everyone else gets an extra hour in bed.
I must have been a right swine in a previous life!
Think positive Rab, you get it back in March. :)
Bet it makes it a long night at work though, my sympathies.
SR,
As a matter of interest I never change any clock or watch. We live in the United [sic] Kingdom and work on Greenwich Mean Time!
This backwards and forwards is ridiculous!
You're brave WfW. If I did that I'm sure, on a bad day, I'd be an hour late or an hour early for some appointment.
It is ridiculous though, I agree.
Mind you, up here we're lucky if we get 6 hours daylight for a couple of months.

And I sat up waiting until 2pm when they changed just to stick that post up for people like him!!
I can imagine Cruachan, I too was wakened far too early. It's kind of tempting to go back and start again. :)

Oh misery....
I should probably get out more?
Tris Rab may be able to tell you.
Don't lose any more sleep over it though. :)
Tris, most employers regard it as some you win, some you lose; except for those on hourly rate or piecework.
